San Francisco area burlesque for September 22 to September 28, 2010

After a few weeks of wall-to-wall shows, it looks we've reached that part of the cycle where there's only a few shows this week.

It looks like Red Hots Burlesque is going to be busy, though! In fact, they'll be putting on two shows on Friday night in two cities that are about 80 miles apart. How will they do this? Is Dottie Lux a magician? Has she warped the time-space continuum? While Dottie is going on the road to Fat Cat in Modesto with one set of performers, another set will be holding down the fort at El Rio in San Francisco. Voila! Two Red Hots shows!

Then on Monday, The Stripping Granny will perform at the Hubba Hubba Revue show at the Uptown Club in Oakland! Who is The Stripping Granny? Your intrepid SFBR reporter will investigate and report back on his findings! Also performing will be Bunny Pistol, Miss Balla Fire, Delilah, Ava Lanche, Honey Penny, Josie Starre, and Red Velvet.

• Friday, September 24: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street. This week, Dottie Lux will be away in Modesto (see below), but see Vivvyanne Forevermore, Isis Starr, Balla Fire & Miss Bella Trixx at El Rio as the show goes on! Show at 7:30pm. $5-10, sliding scale. 21+.


• Also Friday: Red Hots Burlesque One Night Only at Fat Cat Music House and Lounge in Modesto, 930 11th Street. Dottie Lux will be hosting this show at Fat Cat, and she'll be bringing Ruby Vixen, Honey Lawless, Delilah, Alotta Boutte and AJ Molecular to entertain the Central Valley. Doors at 9pm, show at 10. $10 at the door. 21+.
  


• Monday, September 27: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. Join your old friends Kingfish and Eddie as the host Oakland's only weekly burlesque show. This week, the featured performers will be Bunny Pistol, Miss Balla Fire, Ava Lanche, Honey Penny, Delilah, Josie Starre, Red Velvet, and The Stripping Granny! Plus Zip The What-Is-It?! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15.$5, 21+ w/ID.
