Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco presents Dottie Lux this Tuesday, September 21

This Tuesday, Dottie Lux of Red Hots Burlesque will be the guest model/performer at Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco! The event will take place at 111 Minna Gallery.

Dottie not only brings you San Francisco's only weekly burlesque show, but she also teaches classes at Red Hots Burlesque's School of Shimmy! She's performed in burlesque shows across the country, been featured in Curve Magazine, and appeared on Current TV, WNBC Morning News, and NBC Bay Area News! And now you have the opportunity to draw her!

If you've never been to Dr. Sketchy's, it's an opportunity for you to draw a live model. Dottie will pose for the audience in increasing increments of time. So the first poses will be for a few minutes to serve as a warm up, then poses will last for about five minutes. The last few poses may be for 10 minutes or more. She will probably also perform one of her numbers for the audience towards the end of the evening.

All of this happens in a fun environment at 111 Minna, and there's often music, contests and prizes, and even drinks available at the bar! During the breaks, you'll have the opportunity to socialize with other artists and admire each other's work.

So head on over to 111 Minna Gallery this coming Tuesday for an evening of drawing, burlesque, and fun!

What is Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School?

Dr Sketchy’s is an international drawing phenomenon.

Dr. Sketchy’s is the little Brooklyn event that became a movement. Founded in 2005 by artist Molly Crabapple, Dr. Sketchy’s asked a simple question. Why can’t drawing naked people be sexy? See more at http://drsketchy.com.

In San Francisco, Dr Sketchy’s gives you a monthly opportunity to draw rhinestone encrusted burlesque performers, bearded ladies, cute girls on bicycles and anything else we can conjure up to tantalize your pencils.
