Hubba Hubba Revue will be having the big show of this week, which will be their 5-Year Anniversary Spectacular on Friday night at the
DNA Lounge! It will include many of the area's best burlesque performers, including the
Hot Pink Feathers,
Twilight Vixen Revue,
Sparkly Devil,
Lady Satan,
Alotta Boutté, and many, many more! It will also mark
Delilah's last performance in San Francisco before she moves on to New York City.
Rally the Troupes will be having their seventh annual show in Oakland at the
Littlefield Concert Hall at Mills College also on Friday night. The show examines liberation and oppression through drag, burlesque, dance, video, and multi-media performance.
The
Hot Pink Feathers are teaming up with
Burlesque Moulin to present FRISKY! The Saturday evening show will take place in Berkeley at the
Shattuck Down Low, and will feature troupe and solo performances on stage and as a floorshow.
La Chica Boom will be a special guest, and she'll also be performing the previous night at Rally the Troupes VII.
There will also be shows from
Red Hots Burlesque,
Debauchery, and drawing events from
Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco.

For the first time in its 7 year history, Rally the Troupes is coming to Oakland in 2011. Rally the Troupes began as a vision of the Transformers, a Bay Area drag king boy band, to bring social justice issues and an anti-oppression lens into a celebration of queer performance. The show, previously a part of the National Queer Arts Festival, has become a Bay Area favorite due to its innovative explorations of liberation and oppression through drag, burlesque, dance, video and multi-media performances. In San Francisco, Dr Sketchy’s gives you a monthly opportunity to draw rhinestone encrusted burlesque performers, bearded ladies, cute girls on bicycles and anything else they can conjure up to tantalize your pencils. This Saturday, they have a new model and a Dr Sketchy’s favorite: Talia! 5pm to 8pm. $12 general, $10 students/teachers. 21+.

- Sunday, September 18: Debauchery at the White Horse Inn in Oakland, 6551 Telegraph Avenue (map). Come out and celebrate Oakland Pride monthly with the beautiful and glittery Queers of Debauchery! They're coming out fully frocked this month to keep their Queers dancing for you. This month's show benefits their performers for the next three, so please help keep their marquee glowing. Performers will include Roxy Picaflor, Lola Sunshine, The Stripping Granny, Sassy, Jack Dandy, Saranaqued, The Hobbit, and more! Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. $5 to $15 sliding scale. 21+.
- Monday, September 12: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown Club in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue (map). Join hosts Kingfish and comedian Kevin Hancock for an evening of burlesque in Oakland! - Tuesday, September 20: Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco presents Girl-Girl Boy-Boy Tango at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco, 111 Minna Street (map). In San Francisco, Dr Sketchy’s gives you a monthly opportunity to draw rhinestone encrusted burlesque performers, bearded ladies, cute girls on bicycles and anything else they can conjure up to tantalize your pencils. This Tuesday, same sex dancers Emily Coles, Kieren Jameson, Chris Phan, and Jose Comoda are going to strike dramatic Latin dance poses for the humble sketchbooks of participants. 7pm to 10pm. $12 general, $10 students/teachers. 21+.
- Wednesday, September 21: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street (map). Join Dottie Lux for Red Hots Burlesque as it expands to its second day of the week! A new and different show twice a week, including bizarre beauties, senseless sideshow, drag, burlesque and comedy! 7:30pm. $5 to $10, sliding scale. 21+.
