Delilah, one of our most notable ecdysiasts, will be moving on to New York City. So this coming week will include her final shows before the big move. It looks like the Hubba Hubba Revue's 5-Year Anniversary Spectacular on Friday, September 16 will be her last show here as a resident, but you can also catch her at Little Minsky's on Thursday, this Friday's Red Hots Burlesque, and Monday's Hubba Hubba Revue show in Oakland. Fella Fem will be having their last Le Boy show this Saturday at the White Horse Inn in Oakland. This will not only be a celebration of the final show, but also a celebration of Dicky Luv's birthday!
The Haight Street Hop will be hosting the debut of Burlesque Bingo in San Francisco! The show will feature Miss Exotic World 2002 Kitten DeVille, as well as Burlesque Bingo's founder Audrey DeLuxe, Flame Cynders, Mynx d'Meanor, and more!
There's at least one burlesque event every day except for September 11, so have fun out there!
- Thursday, September 8: Little Minsky's Burlesque and Variety Show at Club Deluxe in San Francisco, 1511 Haight Street (map). They'll be swinging to the rambunctious cartoon-tinted tunes of the playful and phenomenal jazz outfit Dr. Abacus at the next Little Minsky's hosted by the elegantly inebriated and eloquently absent-minded drag opera diva Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy. And more musical meanderings from Erika Von Volkyrie with a deft mix of gothic glamour, German cabaret and wicked wit. Accompanied by the incomparable Joe Wicht on the keys. As for the stylish showgirls, let's have a warm welcome-back to the fabulous Flame Cynders visiting us from LA and a rousing cheer for the delightful Delilah, sizzling Miss Balla Fire, luscious Vienna La Rouge, exquisite Mynx d'Meanor, scandalous Lady Satan, adorable Sid Scenic and the alluring Ava Lanche. They'll also be celebrating the birthday of Little Minsky's producer Douglas Good with copious cocktails and high revelry. Doors at 9pm, show at 10. $5. 21+.
- Friday, September 9: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street (map). Come with your sense of humor, get ready to enter the pink bubble. Red Hots Burlesque brings you the "city's best" bump and grind at the "happiest hour" in the bay and newly noted "#3 burlesque show in the country to take your girl to"! This Friday, mmmmmDelicious, Delilah, Flame Cynders (Los Angeles), Francine Dead, Pickles Kintaro, Truvy Trollop, and Simone Campbell will be performing! 7:30pm. $5 to $10, sliding scale. 21+.
- Also Friday: The Mischievous Maidens Show at the Skylark Bar in San Francisco, 3089 16th Street (map). Join the Mischievous Maidens burlesque troupe for a fun start to your weekend at the Skylark Bar with live burlesque and stand-up comedy! Every second Friday of the month, 8pm show. Free. 21+.
- Saturday, September 10: Dr. Sketchy's East Bay at Disco Volante in Oakland, 347 14th Street (map). Draw glamorous burlesque dancers, compete in contests, and win wacky prizes! - Also Saturday: Le Boy's "Goodbye Show" at the White Horse Inn in Oakland, 6551 Telegraph Avenue (map). Le Boy’s Goodbye Show and Dicky your host’s birthday dance party. Spectacularly QUEERlicious performances to entertain you. Performances by Twilight Vixen Review, Lady Monster, Chucklepunch the Clown, Patricia Misery, Verbatim Belly Dance fusion, Cemora the amazing Singing Drag Queen, Ooh La La belly dance, Dante DeMoan. - Also Satuday: Burlesque n' Brass at Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland, 1621 Telegraph Avenue (map). Join the Hot Pink Feathers along with musical cohorts Blue Bone Express at Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland for an evening of rousing live music and dance. Plus we'll have solos by Minnie Cupcakes (celebrating her birthday this month!) and La Bamboo Vixen. Doors at 8:30pm, show at 9:30. $10. 21+.
- Also Saturday: Haight Street Hop with Burlesque Bingo and Audrey DeLuxe at Milk Bar in San Francisco, 1840 Haight Street (map). Burlesque Bingo from Los Angeles is making their San Francisco debut at The Haight Street Hop! The hostess will be Audrey DeLuxe (Showtime's Live Nude Comedy, LuchaVaVOOM), and will feature burlesque stars such as Kitten DeVille (Miss Exotic World). Flame Cynders, Mynx d'Meanor, BB Yellowtail, and Jolie Du Beau! They will be alternating all night between bingo & boobies and DJ & dancing! Doors at 9pm. $5 before 10pm, $10 after. 21+.
- Monday, September 12: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown Club in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue (map). Join host Kingfish and comedian Kevin Hancock for and evening of fall burlesque in Oakland! With performances by Holly Dai (Portland, OR), Fannie Sinclair, Pickles Kintaro, Delilah, Eva d'Luscious, and Mojo DeVille! With musical guest Tacos on Prom Night! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15. $5. 21+.
- Tuesday, September 13: Séduction Féroce at Era Art Bar and Lounge in Oakland, 19 Grand Avenue (map). Séduction Féroce is a burlesque cabaret variety show that happens every second Tuesday of the month! Performances by Kittie Von Tittie, Ginger Skyye, Lynn Witmeyer, Tali the Tattoed Tart, Kitty Von Quim, Lady X, Sheba, Patricia Misery, Rose Thorn, Fagatron, Miss Lola Sunshine, and Riley the Riotte! With emcee Margaret France, stage kitten Holly Honey Pocket, and DJ gravedigger. Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm. $5. 21+.
- Also Tuesday: Pajama Party! Second Tuesdays Burlesque at the Elbo Room in San Francisco, 647 Valencia Street (map). Come see Bombshell Betty's annual Pajama Party! Enjoy and evening of naughty bedtime stories, pillow fights and sleepover shenanigans Burlesqueteer style! With live musical accompaniment by Fromagique! Burlesque performances by many of your favorite Burlesqueteers includiing Bombshell Betty, Belle Phenomene, Cookie Crumbles, Cosette L'Amour, Demi Moiselle, Eve Von Gelica, Lady Brett, Laura Borealis, Lezzie McFaggerson, Pearl E.
