San Francisco Bay Area burlesque for the week of November 9 to 15, 2011

The weekly round-up of burlesque shows has moved up a day! It'll cover shows from Wednesday to Tuesday of each week.

In other news, Dr. Sketchy's East Bay has been presented by Red Hots Burlesque in Oakland on a monthly basis since April of this year. At least until they find a new venue, this will be the last Dr. Sketchy's East Bay. The models will come from Sin Sisters Burlesque of Santa Cruz.

Former Bay Area resident Mariel a la Mode will be performing at a couple of shows this week. If you'd like to say "hooray" or "woot," She'll be performing at Little Minsky's on Thursday and Barbary Coast Burlesque on Friday.

If you're out in Brentwood of Discovery Bay, The Mischievous Maidens will be performing at their monthly show, Cabaret Rouge, in Byron tonight. They'll often have special guests, so check out their show at the Wild Idol Saloon! For those of you in the more immediate Bay Area, they will return to San Francisco this Friday evening for their monthly free show at the Skylark Bar.

sASSy Hotbuns of sASSy's Seaside Burlesque will be presenting Hotbuns Hillbilly Hotties at The Riptide in San Francisco early Friday evening. If you can make it over there by 6:00 p.m., this is the show for you! The happy hour drink specials start at 4:00, so start your weekend a bit earlier than usual! Plus it's a free show!

• Thursday, November 10: Little Minsky's Burlesque/Variety Show at Club Deluxe in San Francisco, 1511 Haight Street (map). Ladies and gents, get set for another round of rollicking good times, tantalizing jazzy tunes and lovely ladies at the next Little Minsky's. Your strictly satirical Mistress of Ceremonies, Odessa Lil, leads this night's line-up of hot music and sparkling showgirls featuring the vintage vocal stylings of special guest crooner Russ Lorenson, original compositions from stellar songstress Karina Denike with her choice backing band including Michael McIntosh on piano, and some smoky cabaret songs from the exquisite Lily Taylor. And let's have a warm welcome back for long-time Minksy's performer, burlesque beauty Mariel a la Mode, who's paying us a visit from Los Angeles, along with the ever-elegant Vienna La Rouge, the delightfully devious Dottie Lux, luscious Vera DeVille and sensational Sid Scenic. Please note that this will be their last Dr. Sketchy's East Bay edition, so give them a sweet kiss farewell! This month's models are Sin Sisters Burlesque of Santa Cruz. BnB has got not just jazz by Blue Bone Express, and burlesque/cabaret dancing by Hot Pink Feathers, but the East Bay burlesque solo debut of Tornado Supertrouble. Fresh off her debut last month as a graduate of the Hot Pink Feathers Crafting the Solo class. There will also be solos by Dusty Jewel, Red Velvet and La Bamboo Vixen! The air is crisp, the holidays are drawing near, and beautiful showgirls are shedding their costumes like leaves off a tree! Celebrate fall by kicking off your week with the Hubba Hubba Revue! With performances by Truvy Trollop, Rosalyn La Roux, La Bamboo Vixen, Minnie Cupcakes, Lisa Hyde, Red Velvet, Cheeky Sweets, Mistress Pon-Farr, Pickles Kintaro, and Bunny Von Tail! The Mischievous Maidens and Cabaret Rouge on Wednesday, July 13

The Mischievous Maidens have their show on the second Friday of the month at the Skylark Bar in San Francisco, and now they have a show on the second Wednesday of the month at the Wild Idol Saloon in Byron!

This Wednesday, July 13, the Maidens will be welcoming Sheba of Séduction Féroce to their show, Cabaret Rouge!

The show will start at 8:30 p.m., so get there a bit before then if you want to get a good spot from which to see the show. Cover is $5.00, and you'll need to be 21 years of age or older.

The Wild Idol Saloon is located at 3918 Main Street in Byron (map).

San Francisco Bay Area burlesque for July 7 - July 13, 2011

Oh my gosh! It looks like there's at least one show or event happening on every day of the week this week. Hooray!

Séduction Féroce will be celebrating their first anniversary next Tuesday with their Big Phat One Year Anniversary Show at Era Art Bar and Lounge in Oakland. They'll have a really big show that night to celebrate, and there'll be some surprises, I'm sure. First anniversaries are always a milestone occasion, so it'll be a show you won't want to miss!

Red Hots Burlesque will be involved in lot of shows this week, including their own two weekly shows at El Rio. Plus, Go Deep: Let's Wrestle will be tonight at El Rio, and they'll also be presenting Dr. Sketchy East Bay on Saturday at Oakland's Disco Volante with Twilight Vixen Revue as models. If you're an artist looking for live models to sketch, you won't want to miss that!

On Satuday, there's a lot going on. Fella Fem will be having their monthly Le Boy show at Oakland's White Horse Inn, but it's Mitch's birthday this month, and they've halved the cover cost to just five bucks! How awesome is that? Also happening in Oakland on Saturday is Burlesque n' Brass with the Hot Pink Feathers and Blue Bone Express, which is always a fun event.

And if you feel like a drive, the Hubba Hubba Revue is hitting the road to Sacramento this weekend! On Saturday night, they'll be teaming up with The Siren Show for Late Nite Varietease at Harlow's! And if you happen to reside near Sacramento, it'll save you the 100 minute drive!

And there's lots more happening. Naked Girls Eating (and Reading!), The Mischievous Maidens causing mischief at two shows this week, and Bombshell Betty, her Burlesqueteers, and Fromagique offering a show that will take you on a tropical adventure are also in the cards!
