Original Sin Burlesque in Livermore this Saturday, May 15

Do you reside and work over the East Bay Hills in cities such as Livermore, Danville, or Pleasanton and don't feel like making the trek over to Oakland or San Francisco for your burlesque fix? Have no fear, Original Sin Burlesque is here!

Original Sin Burlesque is an offshoot of Original Sin, a lingerie shop in Danville. After putting on burlesque-style fashion shows at Bay Area clubs, they received many requests for performances, so they decided to form a burlesque troupe of their own.

Their next show is this Saturday at Sanctuary Ultra Lounge in Livermore. Thereafter, shows occur on the third Saturday of every month. The club is located at 2369 First Street.

Shotgun Cabaret in Berkeley this Saturday, November 7, 2009

The burlesque invasion of the East Bay continues this Saturday as the Hubba Hubba Revue hooks up with the Shotgun Players to present Shotgun Cabaret at the Shotgun Theater in Berkeley!

Shotgun Cabaret flier front, November 7, 2009

I guess Kingfish and Eddie must have some incriminating photos of the artistic director of the Shotgun Players, which up until now has been a respectable theater company. Ha ha! I kid! ;-)

On Monday's Uptown Hubba Hubba show, Kingfish mentioned that this will be a unique show for them in that there will be a script. Hooray! Many of the theater company's usual patrons will be attending the show, in addition to fans of burlesque.

As a result, it would be a very good idea to buy your tickets in advance! According to Kingfish, as of noon today there were only standing room only tickets available for the 8pm show. Tickets for the 10pm show are selling briskly.

Below are the details for these shows:
