It's Fat Tuesday, so that means that the Hot Pink Feathers (pictured) will be dancing! This year, they're teaming up with their Burlesque n' Brass partners Blue Bone Express at Vitus in Oakland.

See Kellita and the rest of the Feathers perform their World Cabaret Showgirl dances for you! Hear the New Orleans-tinged party jazz of Oakland's very own Blue Bone Express. Your emcee during the evening will be Kingfish of the Hubba Hubba Revue. Is there a better way to celebrate Mardi Gras in the Bay Area? No!

Looking for a good place to take a date for a show? The Hot Pink Feathers and Blue Bone Express have a show every second Saturday of the month (tonight!) at Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland.

Cafe Van Kleef is an intimate club where the dancers will often dance right down the middle aisle right in front of delighted spectators. You'll want to arrive early to get a good seat, though, as standing near the door doesn't provide the same view!

So buy a drink at the bar, and find a good place to listen to the jazz of Blue Bone Express and watch the hot showgirl dance moves of the Hot Pink Feathers. And if you don't have a date, perhaps you may find one at the bar.

The doors open at 8:30 p.m., and the music starts at 9:30. Cafe Van Kleef is located at 1621 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland (map), which is very close to the 19th Street Oakland BART station. Entry is $10.00, and you'll need to be 21 or older to attend.

FRISKY! A Hot Pink Feathers Cabaret Burlesque Revue tonight at the Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley

Along with Burlesque Moulin, the Hot Pink Feathers present FRISKY at the Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley tonight, Saturday, September 17.

It will be a stage and a floor show, with dancers performing around guests. In addition to Hot Pink Feathers troupe acts, there will also be solo performances from individual Feathers. The Bohemian Brethren of SF Boylesque and La Chica Boom will be guest performers.

The doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show will start at 8:30 p.m. The Shattuck Down Low is located at 2284 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley (map), which is just several blocks from the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Street parking is also available. Tickets start at $12.00 ($20.00 including a glass of champagne or drink special) for general admission, $50.00 for a table for two with a bottle of champagne, and $160.00 for a booth for six and two bottles of champagne.

It's almost time for the SF Carnaval Grand Parade, which means that it's almost time for the Hot Pink Feathers to get dressed in their costumes to dance down Mission Street! But they'll need money to buy their costumes. Feather fans don't come easy!

What will the Feathers do? Have a fundraising show, of course! This Saturday, May 21, join the Hot Pink Feathers and some special guests for "Frisky: A Hot Pink Feathers Revue and Carnaval Fundraiser" at the Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley.

The show will feature the Feathers in group and solo acts. So if you missed their big 10th birthday show at the DNA Lounge, then you won't want to miss this show!

Even if you did see that show, you'll want to catch this show to see the Feathers' special guests from Chicago, Lola Martinet of the Dolls of Doom (winner of the Burlesque Hall of Fame's Best Variety Act 2010), and Ray Gunn of the Stage Door Johnnies!

You'll also get to view the solo acts that some of the Feathers have been working on recently. Plus you'll get to see the Feathers perform "Bollywood Burlesque" and "Groovy", which is always a treat!

It'll be a relatively early show at the Shattuck Down Low. The doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the show will start at 8:30 and end about 10:30. Tickets range from $12.00 for a single general admission ticket, to $160.00 for a both which seats six and comes with two bottles of champagne. See below for all of the details. Hot Pink Feathers Showgirl Academy classes start this week

The final dance class session for the Hot Pink Feathers Showgirl Academy starts this Tuesday. It's a five week session at the Ballet Studio in San Francisco which will be taught by Kerri Myers. The details are below.
