Also on Tuesday, Swing Goth will be having a free class along with a free open dance at the Blue Macaw in San Francisco. You may remember Swing Goth from the Ball of Justice/Comic Strip show that they produced in conjunction with Fishnet Follies (see previous post). Here are the details from Brian Gardner:

Swing Goth for National Dance Week
Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 8:00pm
Blue Macaw (formerly 12 Galaxies)
2565 Mission Street
San Francisco, CA

It's National Dance Week and there's all sorts of activities in and around SF. Most of them (including ours) are listed here: http://www.bayareandw.org/

Swing Goth is a re-appropriation of partner dancing updating both instruction and technique to the modern era. We may not do things like your grandfather or grandmother used to, but we do capture the fun they had.... and we do it while dancing to Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Gorilaz, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, etc.

Beginner dance lessons are no partner or experience required, and in the spirit of the week, the beginners lessons are FREE for this week. The open dance from 9-1am is always FREE.

Beyond Beginner Lessons are $8 for singles or $12 for couples. For these classes a partner is preferred preferred, so come on, every guy grab a girl... everywhere around the world...

By request, Beyond Beginner lessons will be a recap of all of the twists and turns and lifts and dips that we've learned to-date.
