SFBR People and Places, Here and There

  • Our very own Jessica "Tink" Whiteside ( is down in Los Angeles curating an art show, The Atomic Tease, which will also feature a performances by some of Southern California's finest burlesquers including Lili Von Schtupp, Penny Starr Jr., Ruby Champagne, Lavendar La Rue, Scarlett Letter, Bunny Bravo, Tinky Sparkle, and Dizzy Von Damn. The opening and show will take place on Thursday, August 20, at the Key Club in Hollywood, 9039 West Sunset Blvd. The reception starts at 7pm and events will last through the evening.   • Bombshell Betty ( and Randy Johnson are trying to get their own reality show. To help them out, simply view her demo video on YouTube. KPI ( is a New York City production company that creates programming for various television networks.

  • Lady Monster ( is in Europe! She'll be in a show in Zürich on August 21 at the Museum of Porn in Art. If you can read German, she's being promoted as "Auftritt der 'Queen of the Fire Tassels' Lady Monster, Amerikanische Burleque Sensation! Freitag, den 21. August 2009 ab 00.00 Uhr im Kino Stüssihof.

  • Kentucky Fried Woman ( will be performing in ButchNation: A Butch Voices Featured Event on Saturday, August 22. The show will be at Humanist Hall, 390 27th Street in Oakland. Doors at 6pm, show at 7. It's free for Butch Voices registered attendees, and $15 for everyone else. Also performing will be Delicio Del Toro, ButchTap, Momma's Boyz, King McQueen, Ivan E Coyote, and many others. Plus she'll be performing at Where Queers Collide - Tranny Noice: Trans Music at Yerba Buena Gardens on Friday, August 21 (please see weekly show posting). She'll also be headed to Seattle to appear in Femmetasia: A Night of Queer Femme Art on Saturday, August 29 at 8pm. The show will be at Theatre off Jackson, 409 7th Ave S, Seattle. Cost is $12-20.
