San Francisco area burlesque for the week of August 24, 2009

This is the week of the big FEED Fundraiser II! Yes, Lux Killmore Entertainment still needs your support. At the last fundraiser, I won two pieces of artwork in the art auction. Maybe you will be a winner this time around! There will be lots of fantastic burlesque dancers, raffles, food, drink, dancing, art, and a photo booth with professional photog Jeff Spirer! It promises to be a fun evening.

• Monday, August 24: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. See Seattle burlesquer Vienna La Rouge plus local favorites Lola Vauntz, Sparkly Devil, sASSy Hotbuns, Honey Lawless, The Amazing L.B.T., Professor Shimmy, and Calamity Lulu! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.


• Thursday, August 27: FEED the Fundraiser II at Climate Theater in San Francisco, 285 9th Street. Help support Lux Killmore's drive to raise funds to produce their new movie, "Feed." Miss Honey Penny (Orange Appeal), Dottie Lux (Red Hots Burlesque, School of Shimmy), Chan Dynasty (National Queer Arts Festival), Kentucky Fried Woman (The Kentucky Fried Woman Show), The Can Cannibals (Pyrate Punx), Cherry Galette (queer latina burlesque performer), Precious Moments (Bulb, Trannyshack), Ruby Vixen (Debauchery), Isis Starr (Living Legend of Burlesque), Lady Satan (Sugar Shack), Citty Rich (Hubba Hubba Revue) and Recent School of Shimmy Graduates! In addition, there will be a raffle, art auction, DJ dancing, and a photo booth with photographer Jeff Spirer! 7pm to midnight. $10.
  


• Friday, August 28: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in SF, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux brings you a different show every single week! Each event promises the seductive and spicy, absurd and amusing all from local and visiting talent. Show at 7:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.
