I was fortunate enough to snare the last ticket to Kitten's show last night. If you're a fan of Kitten, or if you just love a rowdy, profane, rambunctious, hilarious good time, then ya gotta see this show!
From her childhood in the East Bay liturgical dancing, to her experiences with drugs and Courtney Love, to her marriage with a guy who ends up leaving her for a woman who eats out of a dog bowl, to finally accepting herself as she is, Kitten finds the bawdy humor in all of it. I'm not sure if I got all of her stories straight, so you'll just have to see the show for yourself! She sure does have a lot of stories to tell....
It's actually quite a courageous performance. Kitten puts herself out there, insecurities, wardrobe malfunctions and all. She is quite brilliant. The more I see her perform, the more I appreciate her talent and abilities. Of course, I'm a bit biased because she's a buddy. Others have given her glowing reviews, though, so there's quite a few of us who have become Kitten fans.
The show begins at 2pm, but get there early to get a good seat!
