SF Bay Area burlesque for the week of March 16, 2009

Alright! Looks like I've got all the information for this week's shows down. There's the fundraiser for the Diamond Daggers on Saturday. They're going to Europe this summer. Then there's the big Hubba Hubba show on Friday. Gotta wear green this week, huh?

Without further ado, here is this week's lineup!

• Monday, March 16, 2009: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. The guys welcome back Bombshell Betty, Randy Johnson, Fromagique and the Fromagettes. Also see Sneak-a-Peek Sally, The AMAZING Coconuts Lunatique, Holly Highbeams, Tinky Sparkle, and Peggy Pistolwhip. Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.


• Friday, March 20: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux brings you a different show every single week! Each event promises the seductive and spicy, absurd and amusing all from local and visiting talent. Show at 7:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.


• Also Friday: Hubba Hubba Revue: Emerald Isle! at DNA Lounge in SF, 375 11th Street. Join Seamus O'Kingfish, an' his dear pal Eddie "Shamrocks" McDane, bringin' ya the foinest Burlesque, Comedy, and Live Musical Entertainment this side o' the County Clare! With Wiggy Darlington, Vima Burlesque, Tit4Tat, Bunny Pistol, sASSy Hotbuns, Kiss Me Kate, The Velvet Lilies, Miss Balla Fire, Chi Chis Del Fuego, Sparkly Devil, Ariyana Fay, Miss Lida Fire, Alotta Boutte, Pin Key Lee, Honey Lawless, Miss Mae Western, Room for Cream, Professor Shimmy, and Penny Lux. Musical guests Kehoe & The Dirty Shilelaghs (www.thekehoenation.com)! Doors at 9pm, show at 10. • Saturday, March 21: The Diamond Daggers Spring Showcase: A Fundraiser & Dance Party! at The Uptown Club in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. Queer Cabaret to support the hardest working lesbos in Burly-Q!!! Featuring Rusty Hips, Simone de la Getto, Jill Parker's Foxglove Sweethearts, Vera de Ville, Vivienne Forevermore, and more! 21+ w/ID. Doors at 9pm. $8 before 10, $12 after 10, 21+ w/ID.
