On Wednesday and Friday evenings, Red Hots Burlesque will be at El Rio. There will be a wealth of ecdysiasts, including their featured performer for December, Kitty Von Quim, on both evenings and Portland's Infamous Nina Nightshade on Wednesday night. See below for the talent lineups for both shows.
El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (map). Both shows start at 7:30 p.m., but get there early for happy hour drinks and grub. Entry to the show is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00.
On Thursday, December 15, RHB's School of Shimmy will be conducting a Burlesque 101 class at Tease Me Boutique in Berkeley!

It'll be a beginners class perfect for those just getting started in burlesque. You'll learn some of the history of burlesque, some basic choreography, and the importance of attitude and developing a stage persona.

If y...ou have always dreamed of being a burlesque star or just want to learn what all this fun is all about you too can be Red Hot!
Bring a friend or meet some in the class. Burlesque is about having fun! Bring a smile and an open mind because we’re going to let loose as you learn to shake it with confidence and class!

All classes are open to students of any age or gender who want to shake it on stage or in the bedroom. No previous dance or performance experience is required. No deposit needed for class, however space is very limited and reservations are strongly encouraged. All classes are $30.

In this two-hour workshop, students will learn the history of burlesque, how to create a persona and basic choreography. As well as learning to build your burlesque attitude; feel great about your body, and an open discussion about increased confidence and positive thinking.
