San Francisco Bay Area burlesque for the New Year's week of December 28, 2011 to January 3, 2012

New Year's Eve is coming up, and there's a few shows celebrating the end of 2011 and the start of 2012 such as the Hubba Hubba Revue show at the Uptown in Oakland and The Starry Plough show with the Mini Skirt Mob and bands such as The Barbary Coasters, The Ogres, and The Tomorrow Men.

There's also the !HONK! 1st Ever Klown-a-Rownd Kabaret at the DNA Lounge on Friday with performers such as Kara Nova, Ella Mental, and others! Plus lots of clown fun!

• Friday, December 30: !HONK! 1st Ever Klown-a-Rownd Kabaret at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, 375 11th Street (map). Behold the emergence of the official Klown Korps Kollective, formerly Circus Metropolus, co-producers of Bohemian Carnival, Crazy Maze, Red Nose District (at Burning Man), Lovefest, Sand By The Ton, Lagunitas Beer Circus, and muchas mas. • Saturday, December 31: New Year's Eve Shake at the Starry Plough in Berkeley, 3101 Shattuck Avenue (map). Shimmy and shake away 2011 with the incredible soul, surf and 60s go-go sounds of The Barbary Coasters, The Ogres, and The Tomorrow Men! Go-go dancing provided by The Mini Skirt Mob (featuring members of The Devil-Ettes and special surprise go go girls!)! Doors at 8:30pm, show at 9:30pm. $10 in advance at The Starry Plough, $15 day of show. 21+.
