San Francisco Bay Area burlesque for the Thanksgiving week of November 23 to 29, 2011

It's Thanksgiving week! Time to give thanks for everything, including your local burlesque entertainment! With that in mind, make sure to take along some extra cash to shows to put into the tip jars or tip your bartenders at the shows!

Yes, there are some shows happening this week. Red Hots Burlesque will have their two shows on Wednesday and Friday at El Rio in San Francisco. The Hubba Hubba Revue will be having their Murder show at the DNA Lounge on Friday evening, plus their weekly show at the Uptown on Monday. And Baxtalo Drom - The Lucky Road will be having their post Thanksgiving show on Friday at Amnesia.

So if you're in town and looking for something to do that's not shopping, why not catch a show? Or if you're in town visiting, catch a show. Don't celebrate Thanksgiving? Catch a show! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

• Wednesday, November 23: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street (map). Come with your sense of humor, get ready to enter the pink bubble. Red Hots Burlesque brings you the "city's best" bump and grind at the "happiest hour" in the bay and newly noted "#3 burlesque show in the country to take your girl to"! • Friday, November 25: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street (map). The second show of the week! See the debuts of RHB School of Shimmy graduates Clavicle Cupcake and Maraschino Poppins! Plus acts from Miss Twin Peaks, Laika Fox, Rosalynn La Roux, and Ruby Vixen! With your host, Dottie Lux! 7:30pm. $5 to $10, sliding scale. 21+.


• Also Friday: Hubba Hubba Revue's Murder at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, 375 11th Street (map). Need a CLUE on how to spend the night after Thanksgiving? Join the Usual Suspects from Hubba Hubba Revue as they unravel a morbid BURLESQUE mystery of malevolent malefactors & murder most foul! Don't miss this killer night of Diabolical Damsels & Femmes Fatale, for the female of the species is more deadly than the male... • Also Friday: Baxtalo Drom - The Lucky Road at Amnesia in San Francisco, 853 Valencia Street (map). Whether this year has brought you feast or famine, friends you're invited to a very special post Thanksgiving gypsy punk cabaret when Baxtalo Drom -- The Lucky Road Show sets out for a little fowl play! There will be birds of paradise afoot and flights of fancy for all; so come join us for another fun filled night of wine, women and song! Featuring musical acts McPuzo and Trotsky and 3 Quarter Project! With comedian Aaron Putnum. Sizzling entertainment from dancing girls Danielle Lottridge and Jeanette Walton. • Monday, November 28: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown Club in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue (map). Start off your week with an entertaining burlesque and variety show in Oakland. This week's show features Pickles Kintaro, Rosalynn La Roux, Naughty Nightshade, Kitty Von Quimm, Chanteuse Mz. K, Dangerous Delilah, Rasa Vitalia, Bunny Von Tail, plus special guest comedian Eric Cash! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15pm. $5. 21+.
