On Wednesday, November 30, November's featured performer of the month Kiss Me Kate will be performing along with Pearl E. Gates, Dottie Lux, and Uni and her Ukelele! The host will be the comedian, playwright, and humorist Marga Gomez!
Performing on Friday, December 2, will be December's featured performer will be Kitty Von Quim! Also performing will be Austin, Texas's Coco Lectric, New York City's The Flying Fox, Rubenesque Burlesque, and birthday girl Tali Tart!
Both shows start at 7:30 p.m. El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (map). Entry to the show is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00. Pay what you can afford!

Kiss Me Kate is a Bay Area burlesque performer and show producer. She is a regular cast member of the Hubba Hubba Revue, and has also performed at Barbary Coast Burlesque, Little Minsky’s, First Friday Follies, Fishnet Follies, BOOTIE, and elsewhere. Kate performed in the 2008 Tease-O-Rama (San Francisco), the 2009 Texas Burlesque Festival, the 2010 Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend, and the 2010 New Orleans Burlesque Festival.

On Thursday, December 1, it's time for wresting and burlesque! Red Hots and El Rio bring you Go Deep: Let's Wrestle! This month's event will not only feature burlesque from Coco Lectric and Ariyana La Fey, but also Francine Dead wrestling!

COCO LECTRIC (Austin, Texas) is a classically trained dancer, actor, and vocalist. With an absolute love of performing, she graces stages all over the world. She is a founding member of The Jigglewatts Burlesque (Austin, TX) and the Headmistress of The Austin Academy of Burlesque. Coco won “Queen of Burlesque 2010” of the New Orleans Burlesque Festival. She was “2010 Texas Performer of the Year” from the Hotrods and Heels festival and won the “Audience Choice Award 2009,” at the Texas Burlesque Festival. Coco performed in “Cointreau presents Dita Von Teese" with Special Guests in New Orleans. She was a featured performer in this past year's Windy City Burlesque Festival, Montreal Burlesque Festival, Texas Burlesque Festival and headlined at the Southwest Burlesque Festival. She performed Opening Night at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend in Las Vegas 2010 and in the Miss Exotic World and Reigning Queen of Burlesque competition in 2011. She is the current titleholder for second runner up at Viva Las Vegas and is #13 in 21st Century Burlesque’s “50 Top Burlesque Performers in the World.”
