This coming Saturday night, La Chica Boom will be hosting and performing in Cabaret Lunatique's "Celebrate Haight-Ashbury" show at Teatro ZinZanni's Spiegeltent on Pier 29 in San Francisco.The show will celebrate the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, and it'll feature local performers such as La Chica Boom, Teatro ZinZanni magician Brandon Rabe, juggler Thomas John, aerialists Cameron McHenry and Marina Luna, all-women clown troupe Circus Finelli, contortionist Nancy Kate Siefker and music from the band Aaron Glass and Friends! Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Teatro ZinZanni box office, by phone at 415/438-2668, or online at cabaretlunatique.org. Tickets are $25.00 for general admission, and $35.00 for premium tickets. It is a show for those 21 and older. The lobby doors open at 11:15 p.m., and there will be some light food and beverages available for purchase.
Teatro ZinZanni is located at Pier 29 on The Embarcadero at Battery Street (map). There is parking in the nearby neighborhoods, but take notice of the local posted parking regulations.

Teatro ZinZanni will host an evening of art, music, dance and “peace and love” with Cabaret Lunatique’s “Celebrate Haight-Ashbury” on Saturday, August 6 at the gorgeous Spiegeltent on Pier 29. As the sixth installment in a series of nine late-night cabarets each focusing on a distinctive San Francisco neighborhood, “Celebrate Haight-Ashbury” will let your inner bohemian run free in celebration of a community that defined America in the 60’s!
First launched in 2008, Teatro ZinZanni’s cabarets all sold out and were brought back this year due to popular demand. The current series began in March with “Celebrate Chinatown” and a further three additional evenings are scheduled for the remainder of the year focusing on the neighborhoods of SOMA, On the Waterfront, and The Hills.
“The Bay Area is filled with people searching for unique late-night entertainment as an alternative to attending a bar or club,” said Teatro ZinZanni Managing Director Susan Outlaw. “Cabaret Lunatique has been an exciting and welcome addition to the local nightlife scene.”
“Celebrate Haight-Ashbury” is a late-night varieté spiced with saucy cabaret, crazed circus, scandal, music and plenty of mayhem. The evening will showcase local talent including Teatro ZinZanni magician Brandon Rabe, accomplished six-ball juggler Thomas John, aerialists Cameron McHenry and Marina Luna, all-women clown troupe Circus Finelli, contortionist Nancy Kate Siefker and music from the band Aaron Glass and Friends. Stunning burlesque artist La Chica Boom (pictured) will serve as host, performer and the best eye candy around!
Cabaret Lunatique’s “Celebrate Haight-Ashbury” premieres Saturday, August 6. Doors to the lobby will open at 11:15 PM. Admission is $35 for premium and $25 general admission. 21 and older only.
An esteemed member of the local arts community for more than a decade, Teatro ZinZanni is a not-for-profit arts organization with a mission to preserve, nurture, and support the centuries-old traditions of European circus arts.
