San Francisco area burlesque for February 24 to March 2, 2010

There appears to be a break in the show schedule for this week. I think everybody needs to catch their breath after all of the shows of the last few weeks.

There are a few chances to see burlesque, though! This week will include the premiere of Le Boy at the White Horse Inn on Saturday. Lots of boys and bois will take part in this boylesque show, including Fromagique's Randy Johnson! Also appearing will be Mr. Bean, Jeff Stroker, Mister Fancy, Lezzie McFaggerson, Jack the Stripper, Puck Goodfellow, and Fella-Fem.

Red Hots Burlesque will feature the talents of Trauma Flintstone this Friday. She was one of may favorite acts from last year's Cabaret Verdalet, and will be in that show again this year on March 6. Also performing at Red Hots will be Bunny Pistol, sASSy Hotbuns, Honey Lawless, Dottie Lux, and The Empress.

Next Monday, Sugar la Vie will grace the stage of Oakland's Uptown Club in the Hubba Hubba Revue show, along with Desiree DuBois, Teresa Camp, and Kiss Me Kate. There will also be a full-set performance by Onkel Woland & The Black Forest Menagerie. Woo hoo!

• Friday, February 26: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street. Join host and performer Trauma Flintstone for dinner theater! Get your BBQ on the patio, then head indoors for a show featuring Bunny Pistol, sASSy Hotbuns, Honey Lawless, Dottie Lux, and The Empress! Show at 7:30pm. $5-10, sliding scale. 21+ w/ID.


• Saturday, February 27: Le Boy at White Horse Inn in Oakland, 6551 Telegraph Avenue. Check out the premiere of this queer gender-bending boylesque show! Featuring
  Mr. Bean, Jeff Stroker, Mister Fancy, Lezzie McFaggerson, Jack the Stripper, Puck Goodfellow, A. Randall Johnson, and Fella-Fem. Dicky Luv of Fella Fem also hosts. Ruby Vixen of Debauchery will emcee. Show at 8pm. $10 at the door, VIP Seat available for $25, and Birthday Special includes VIP Seat, Drink, and lap dance for $50. Starring Sugar La Vie, Desiree DuBois, Teresa Camp, Kiss Me Kate, and Zip the What-Is-It?! Plus a special full-set performance by Onkel Woland & The Black Forest Menagerie! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.
