San Francisco area burlesque for the week of July 13, 2009

The week starts off with a visit from Molly Crabapple to Dr. Sketchy's SF, then proceeds to France for a Bastille Day celebration with the Hot Pink Feathers, then ends up in a Hubba Hubba Revue trip to hell and Debauchery! My, what a burlesque journey! Please put your tray table and seat in the upright position and fasten your seat belts. Enjoy your flight. ;-)

• Monday, July 13, 2009: Dr. Sketchy's SF at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco, 111 Minna Street. Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco is excited to welcome the founder and president, Molly Crabapple! Molly will be attending this month's workshop and signing copies of her new book, Scarlett Takes Manhattan. We are doing a Victorian theme in celebration of her art work and the release of her new book. Come out and draw our model this month, the striking and amazingly talented Burlesque performer and producer, Mynx D'Meanor! Also this month... Musical guest Fromagique! 6:30 to 10:30pm. $10 general admission, $7 students and teachers with I.D., free to hang out at the bar and chat with Molly. 21+ w/ID.


• Also Monday: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. It's Sparkly Devil's 25th birthday celebration. Again! Join the Hubba Hubba Revue's Blonde Bombshell for her birthday celebration along with Bunny Pistol, Pin Key Lee, Lady Satan, Delilah, Francine Dead, Gigi D'Flower, and Room for Cream! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.


• Tuesday, July 14: Bsstille Day Soiree at Ruby Skye in SF, 420 Mason Street. The Hot Pink Feathers are scheduled to appear at about 11pm. Featuring DJ French le Freak and free French cuisine. 8pm to 2am. $20 in advance, $25-30 at the door if available, 21+ w/ID.
  


• Friday, July 17: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux brings you a different show every single week! Each event promises the seductive and spicy, absurd and amusing all from local and visiting talent. Show at 7:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.


• Also Friday: Hubba Hubba Revue: Hell! at DNA Lounge in SF, 375 11th Street. Join Kingfish and Eddie as they romp through the Stygian Depths of the Underworld! Along the way, be entertained by Alotta Boutte', Honey Lawless & Gigi D'Flower, Flame Cynders, Delilah, The Twilight Vixen Revue, Bunny Pistol, Tit4Tat, Miss Balla Fire, Wiggy Darlington & Vima Burlesque, Rubenesque Burlesque, Virginia Slim. sASSy Hotbuns, Mai Tai, The Reverend Jerkimiah Thunderchrist, Coco Noir, Citty Rich, Little Miss Never, Lola Vauntz, Sparkly Devil & Lady Satan, Monifa, from San Diego, Lady Borgia, and from North Carolina, Meka La Creme! • Sunday, July 19: Debauchery at White Horse Inn in Oakland, 6555 Telegraph Avenue. A stripclub for queers of all genders! Featuring an enticing selection of salaciously smoldering strippers, $10 Lap dances and naughty raffle prizes! Doors at 7pm, show at 8. $5-15 cover; all proceeds benefit organizations working in the queer community. 21+ w/ID.
