Molly Crabapple visits Comic Relief in Berkeley and Dr. Sketchy's SF

Dr. Sketchy's founder, renowned illustrator, and author Molly Crabapple ( wants to hang out with you, Bay Area! She'll be making two appearances on her tour to promote her new burlesque-themed graphic novel, Scarlett Takes Manhattan!

She'll be at Comic Relief in Berkeley ( from 6:30pm until 7:30. oin her for a reading, projections, and signing of her first graphic novel. Stay for a Vaudeville-themed mini Dr. Sketchy’s with burlesque queen Sparkly Devil. Free cupcakes for all! Comic Relief is at 2026 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley.

For those of you who want a bit more drawing and schmoozing time, and for those of you who refuse to leave San Francisco, Molly Crabapple will be appearing at your hometown Dr. Sketchy's on Monday, July 13. That evening's model/performer will be my buddy and producer of San Diego's Fishnet Follies, Mynx d'Meanor (! Here is the event announcement from Jessica "Tink" Whiteside, for whom Molly Crabapple is a personal hero. And note that if you won't be drawing, it's free to hang out at the bar and to meet the author!

Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco is excited to welcome the founder and president, Molly Crabapple! Molly will be attending this month's workshop and signing copies of her new book, Scarlett Takes Manhattan. We are doing a Victorian theme in celebration of her art work and the release of her new book.

Come out and draw our model this month, the striking and amazingly talented Burlesque performer and producer, Mynx D'Meanor!

How much is it?
It's $10 general admission for sketchers, or $7 for students or teachers with I.D. The best's FREE for anyone wanting to just drop in and hang out at the bar!! Don't worry if you don't want to draw the models, you can still come in and check out the fun.

For all you sketcher's though, bring your sketchbooks, and be prepared for some naughty good fun!
