- Baby Doe of the Devil-Ettes has curated an art show for Keep A Breast in conjunction with the 10th annual Tiki Oasis in San Diego this weekend. Images of the casts of busts of many burlesque performers painted by various artists may be seen at www.keep-a-breast.org/art. She's having a fundraiser at www.firstgiving.org/babydoe to help support this worthy organization. She will also be a guest of honor at this year's BurlyCon, October 14-17, in Seattle.
- Satans Angel, Kiss Me Kate, Flame Cynders, and Kitten on the Keys will be performing in the New Orleans Burlessque Festival, September 17-19. Kitten will be the femcee for Saturday night's Queen of Burlesque event at Harrah's. Satan's Angel will also be performing at the Montreal Burlesque Festival, which will take place September 23-26.
- Delilah will be performing at the New York Burlesque Festival, which will be taking place September 30 to October 3 at various venues in New York City. Scotty the Blue Bunny will be the host of the Friday evening event.
- Dottie Lux will be teaching her Red Hots Burlesque School of Shimmy Burlesque 101 class from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. this Tuesday, August 25 at El Rio in San Francisco. The day before, Tuesday, Ruby White and Lady Satan will be teaching a Peppermint Twist Go-Go Moves class at the same venue from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco. - Bombshell Betty will be offering several classes at her 715 Bryant Street studio (Suite 201) in San Francisco starting in September. Her 12-week Burlesque Intensive I class will start on September 16, and will be the last offering of this class until 2011. Her Costuming Intensive class will begin on Wednesday, September 22 and will run through December 15. It's almost "no sew" costume design for the DIY diva on a budget!
