SF Bay Area burlesque for the week of January 26, 2009

It looks like things are heating up!

• Monday, January 26, 2009: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. The Hubbas welcome the sensual, sadistic, sexy siren of the South, Evil Sarah! Plus, get a preview of the Zombie Prom with Victoria and the Vaudvillains. And see Josie Starre, Twilight Vixen Revue, Monifa, Amelia Mae Paradise, and Virginia Slim, too! Doors at 9pm, show at 10ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.
• Tuesday, January 27: Dr. Sketchy's at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. 111 Minna Street. A free session of Dr. Sketchy's in conjunction with Sketch Tuesday. Featuring Cat Rich and MC Randy Johnson. 7pm to 10. Free.
• Wednesday, January 28: Tingel Tangel at Cafe du Nord in SF. 2170 Market Street. Join Earl Dax as he brings you host Dina Martini, Crimson Cabaret, and Kiddie! Doors at 9pm, show at 9:30. $16, 21+ w/ID.
• Also Wednesday: Haute House Burlesque at Stagewerx in SF. 533 Sutter Street. There's supposed to be a show, but I haven't received and information. Keep an eye on their web page for more info: www.bombshellbetty.net/shows.html. Doors at 7pm, show at 8. $12-15, 18+.
  
• Friday, January 30: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux brings you the best in burlesque along with some great BBQ at SF's best happy hour! Show at 7:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.
