But I'll be at the First Friday Follies benefit for Madame E! Other than that show on Friday, here are the rest of the burlesque shows coming this week :
Okay. Lots of shows out there, and more coming up next week! Have fun, everyone! :-)
- Monday, December 8: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland. Join Monifa, Vixen Noir, Kiss Me Kate, Madam Chartreuse, Miss Balla Fire, and special guests, Vagabondage, plus your hosts, Kingfish and Eddie, for some heat on a cold winter's night. Doors 9pm, show 10ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.
- Wednesday, December 10: Bardot a Go Go at the Rickshaw Stop in SF. DJs California Kid and Brother Grimm spin French Pop, Northern Soul, Shagadelic Sixties, Bubblegum-Psych, and more! Those satanic sweethearts --The Devil-Ettes-- showcase their swinging synchronized go go dancing PLUS The Mini Skirt Mob keeps the dance floor shimmin' and shakin' throughout the night! 9pm to 2am. Free, 21+ w/ID.
- Thursday, December 11: Little Minsky's at Club Deluxe in SF. The second Thursday of every month! Little Minsky's is brought to you by Douglas Good (of Cabaret Verdalet), The Flying Fox (burlesque glamour girl) and a few shady characters (we dare not name). Doors at 9pm, show at 10. $5, 21+ w/ID.

- Also Friday, December 12 through Sunday, December 14: Frolic: 3rd Annual CircusDragBurlesque Festival at CounterPULSE in SF. This only-in-San-Francisco festival mixes circus, drag, and burlesque in a delightful and explosive combination of high art, popular entertainment, and groundbreaking performance. Featuring Thisway/Thatway, Sonya Smith & Alayna Sroud, Anna Conda, Fou Fou HA, Butch Tap, and much more. Hosted by Amelia Mae Paradise & Sir Loin Strip of the Diamond Daggers. Doors at 7:30pm, show at 8. $20-100, 21+ w/ID.
- Also Saturday and Sunday: The Great Dickens Christmas Fair @ the Cow Palace. The immensely popular, roguish production of the "Saucy French Postcard Tableaux Revue - or the Secret Life of Mr. & Mrs. Horatio Everard, Esq." is a highlight of the Fair and returns for the fourth year in a row at the Victoria & Albert Theatre with all new tableaux vivants. This immensely popular nighttime entertainment is sure to beguile and delight the adults in the audience (age 18 and up). Enjoy a glimpse of the inner reveries of a stalwart Englishman, and view the very flower of English Womanhood in bloom - a risqué exhibition of unadorned beauty! Fair runs from 11am-7pm, but the production is in the evening. $22-55, 18+.
