SF Bay Area burlesque for the week of October 20, 2008

Oh, it's getting close to Halloween! And if you love burlesque, odds are you love Halloween. The good news is that this holiday has been spread out over several weeks. Spookshow A-Go-Go was last Saturday, but there are more themed shows coming up this week, plus a Dr. Sketchy's event!

• Monday, October 20: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown Nightclub in Oakland. It's Bombshell Betty's Burlesqueteers performing their "Monster Party" show. Plus Betty will perform her Tease-O-Rama act! Doors at 9pm, show at 10ish. $5, 21+w/ID.
• Thursday, October 23: Dr. Sketchy's SF at Space Gallery in San Francisco. Join your host, Jessica "Tink" Whiteside, for an evening of sketching burlesque performers, performances, and other sexy surprises! 7pm. $5-15, see website for student, teacher and advance purchase discounts. 21+ w/ID.
  
• Also Thursday: Thrillville Halloween Hellabaloo with Hubba Hubba Revue at Cerrito Speakeasy Theater in El Cerrito. Will the Thrill and his lovely wife, Monica the Tiki
  Goddess, join forces with the Hubba Hubba crew for a night of "Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman" and burlesque! Plus, Mr. Lobo and the Queen of Trash from "Cinema Insomnia" will make a special appearance! 7:30pm. $10, 18 and over.
  
• Friday, October 14: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in SF. Dottie Lux brings you a different show every single week! Each event promises the seductive and spicy, absurd and amusing all from local and visiting talent. Show at 7:30. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.
• Also Friday: Diamond Daggers Masquerade Ball at Fat City in San Francisco. Join the Daggers and special guests Alotta Boutte, Jill Parker and Her Foxglove Revue, Uni and Her Ukelele, and others for dancing, performances, mingling, and much more! $12-20 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.

Please note that the Burlesqueteers' Stagewerx show was moved to its correct date, which is Wednesday, October 29. I finally figured out how to move it to the last Wednesday of the month instead of the fourth Wednesday.
