This Wednesday and Friday, Red Hots celebrates the life and career of The Cramps' front man Lux Interior. Red Hots' February featured performer of the month will be the great Nomy Lamm and The Whole Wide World, which will be performing on Friday! The two shows will have guest hosts Eva Von Slut and Honey Lawless, and feature such entertainers as Patricia Misery, Francine Dead, Bunny Pistol, Ruby White, and Lady Satan! The shows both evenings start at 7:30 p.m., and El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (map). Cover is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00.

On Feb 4th 2009, we lost one of rock and roll's most provocative performers, Lux Interior. There have been few in the modern age who have influenced the esthetic of bad girl's burlesque as much as THE CRAMPS and front man, LUX INTERIOR lead the way with high heels, near nudity and always putting on a fantastic show. It is with a heavy heart but thrusting pelvises that we celebrate his life this week with a BURLESQUE TRIBUTE TO THE CRAMPS! About our FEATURED Performer:
Nomy Lamm is a singer, accordion player, performance artist and vocal coach. Her band, nomy lamm & THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, is a flexible platform for collaboration with everyone and everything, including other musicians, visual artists, puppeteers, poets, spectators, and the moon. She performs regularly with Sins Invalid, creating musical dreamworld performance art about disability, sexuality and social justice. She has toured with Sister Spit and the Sex Workers Art Show, co-created the post-apocalyptic genderqueer rock opera "The Transfused," and last summer had the honor of touring the country with the illustrious unicorn chantreuse, DavEnd. She is currently working on her MFA thesis, a collection of short stories called "515 Clues," and writes an advice column for Make/Shift magazine called "Dear Nomy."

On Thursday, February 2, also at El Rio, Red Hots brings Go Deep to the showroom! This all-woman lube wrestling evening will also feature a performance by Kellita of the Hot Pink Feathers! Please not that she will be dancing before the matches and will not be lube wrestling.
Those who will be wrestling will come from Thrillpeddlers, the Lusty Lady, the New Eccentrics, and even the audience! Yes, they'll be accepting sign-ups starting at 8:00 p.m., or you can sign up via email! Simply email redhotsburlesque@gmail.com, and they'll get your vital information and let you know what to do.
The sign-ups and Kellita's performance will start at 8:00 p.m., and the wrestling starts at 9:00 p.m. Entry to the showroom is on a sliding scale from $10.00 to $15.00.
