This week both Dottie Lux and Leigh Crow will host individual shows at Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco!

Wednesday, Dottie Lux will emcee a show with Dixie DeLish, Roxy Reve, Uni and her Ukelele, and more!

On Thursday, Leigh Crow will host a show featuring performances by La Chica Boom, Babraham Lincoln, Nomy Lamm, and Pickles Kintaro!

Plus Red Hots Burlesque School of Shimmy will be some new classes! Conquering the stiletto with Truvy Trollop! Bringing Sexy Back! These and other classes start on August 4th. See below for more information.

About our featured performer:
Dixie DeLish the “Burlesque OutLaw”, is a bright new star of the San Francisco Burlesque scene. She first started in 2009 and has become a regular featured performer in the Bay Area. Among various shows, she is a continuous lead performer at the Hubba Hubba Revue’s monthly show Cabaret Perilous. She just performed at the 2012 Tease O Rama Burlesque Festival, and has also graced the stage multiple times at Red Hots Burlesque, First Friday Follies, Club Delux, and Kinky Salon. She is also an annual performer at the Lagunitas Beer Circus. Dixie DeLish has extensive training by various burlesque artists including Kellita of the Hot Pink Feathers, Molotov, Ava Garter, Allotta Boutte, Dirty Martini, and World Famous Bob just to name a few. Dixie has a deep seated love of Burlesque, and aspires become a major player in the burlesque world though both performance and instruction. Chicken burlesque at Red Hots Burlesque this week, plus The Shanghai Pearl teaches at School of Shimmy

This week at Red Hots Burlesque, catch the latest in chicken burlesque! Yes, this Friday's show will be "Cluck be a Lady," and it will feature performances by the troupe Le Cancan Bijou, Vaudie Va Boom, Nomy Lamm, Kiss Me Kate, and Titland!

Tonight's show will have La Chica Boom, the New Eccentrics, Ruby Vixen, Laika Fox, Ellliot Contortion, and Dottie Lux! According to the information provided, chickens will not be ready until Friday, though.

Both shows will start at 7:30 p.m. at El Rio in San Francisco, which is located at 3158 Mission Street (map). The shows are generally a bit less than 90 minutes, so they should end by 9:00 p.m. Entry is on a sliding scale, so it'll be from $5.00 to $10.00 to get into the showroom.

Vaudie not only does she direct the world's only cannibalistic can-can troupe called The Can-Cannibals, but she is also the co-creator of the dynamic burlesque duo The Dishrag Dollies, dances with the esteemed French Can-Can troupe from San Francisco, Le CanCan Bijou, and performs solo burlesque, cabaret and sideshow acts. On top of that she produces concerts, events, and her own variety show called the Punk Rock Cabaret for the Oakland Pyrate Punx. She will undoubtedly bring a huge smile and a unique freshness to all of her endeavors.

Red Hots Burlesque for Wednesday and Friday, October 26 and 28, 2011

Red Hots Burlesque continues to bring you quality burlesque. This week, catch the La Chica Boom as she completes her turn as RHB's October Feature performer, see some performers making their debuts such as Killy "Killer" Dwyer of New York, and some local favorites such as Truvy Trollop, Marla Spanks, and more!

Shows both evenings start at 7:30 p.m. at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street (map). Entry to both shows is on a sliding scale, from $5.00 to $10.00. Each show is different, and the scheduled lineups are below.

Kelly "Killer Killy" Dwyer is a shock-mock-punk-rock comedic performance artist from NYC. She has been featured on Comedy Central, David Letterman, Funny or Die and FunnynotSlutty.com. Killy's band: "KILL THE BAND" is set to record their first full length album in November and the "making of the album" will be the subject of a documentary by filmmaker Craig Schober. She produces and hosts ALTER EGO - Vaudeville Surreal, NYC's #1 monthly alternative variety show and is the co-executive producer and host of The Trachtenburg Variety Show at the world famous Peoples Improv Theater. www.KELLYBDWYER.com

Just a home town gal, Rena LaMarr knew someday the stage would be hers. The costumes from her grandparent’s trunk of forgotten memories, called to her as she played in the satin and silk. Rena fantasized about the adagio routines they performed up and down the east coast. After years of dance classes and “The School of Hard Knocks”, she made her debut with Boxcar Burlesque in 2010.
From the time Rena hit the stage, she has dazzled the audiences with her hand adorned costumes and her sultry routines. Her Rubenesk figure flows from seductive fan dances to bawdy Blues numbers. Rena LaMarr always leaves the audience satisfied but calling for more.
