El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (
map). Both shows on Wednesday and Friday start at 7:30 p.m., and entry to the shows is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00.
And on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at El Rio, there will be a fundraiser for Homobiles, a queer safe ride service in San Francisco. During that time, all bar proceeds will go to Homobiles. For more information about this fundraiser, please visit

For nearly four decades El Rio has proudly given back to the community by generously throwing fun community events. The Friday Happy Hours include drink specials, FREE Oysters on the half-shell and the swinging sounds of DJs Carmen and Miranda at the Fruit Stand. From 4-6pm ALL bar proceeds will go to Homobiles.
Raffle Prizes from Toys in Babeland, Synergy Mind Body Wellness, Solace, Dedicated Deliveries, books by Lynn Breedlove "Godspeed" and "One Freak Show", and more.
About our Feature:
Nomy Lamm is a singer, accordion player, performance artist and vocal coach. Her band, nomy lamm & THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, is a flexible platform for collaboration with everyone and everything, including other musicians, visual artists, puppeteers, poets, spectators, and the moon. She performs regularly with Sins Invalid, creating musical dreamworld performance art about disability, sexuality and social justice. She has toured with Sister Spit and the Sex Workers Art Show, co-created the post-apocalyptic genderqueer rock opera "The Transfused," and last summer had the honor of touring the country with the illustrious unicorn chantreuse, DavEnd. She is currently working on her MFA thesis, a collection of short stories called "515 Clues," and writes an advice column for Make/Shift magazine called "Dear Nomy."
