"Crazy Horse" documentary opens today in San Francisco, Berkeley, and San Rafael

"Crazy Horse" is a documentary by Frederick Wiseman ("Ballet", "La Danse: The Paris Opera Ballet" and "Boxing Gym") that examines the legendary Parisian cabaret club. It opens today in limited release at Landmark's Shattuck Cinemas in Berkeley, the Landmark Embarcadero Center Cinemas, and the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael. And at 7:05 at the Embarcadero Center Cinemas, there will be a live burlesque and variety performance!

The film has been getting good reviews by the critics. The SF Chronicle's "little man" is sitting and clapping in a review by Walter Addiego. Lisa Schwarzbaum of Entertainment Weekly gives it an "A-" in her review.

If you've been curious about what happens at the Crazy Horse but don't have a chance to go there in person, then see this movie. And $10.00 or so is a lot less expensive than airfare and hotels!
