Busy weekend in San Francisco Bay Area burlesque!

This weekend, there are quite a few burlesque shows to see, especially tonight. From sASSy Hotbuns' Honky-Tonk Burlesque on Friday afternoon to Kentucky Fried Woman's tribute show to the late Whitney Houston on Sunday evening, it's bound to be a fun time for burlesque fans.

And for this weekend, the "round-up" format returns! Yay!

Also note that the Mischievous Maidens show on Fridays at the Skylark Bar is now the Hot Toddies show! It's still free for you and me!

• Hotbuns Honky-Tonk Burlesque at The Riptide in San Francisco, 3639 Taraval Street (map). Hope you are ready for some of the finest bar top dancing west of Sunset Avenue! sASSy is bringin' y'all her favorite gals to shimmy and shake makin' it the hotties happy hour on the coast! • Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street (map).
  Come with your sense of humor, get ready to enter the pink bubble. Red Hots Burlesque brings you the "city's best" bump and grind at the "happiest hour" in the bay and newly noted "#3 burlesque show in the country to take your girl to"! Performances by Dottie Lux, Ava Lanche, Kitty Von Quim, Vesper Synd, and Artemis. $5 to $10, sliding scale. 21+.
  


• The Hot Toddies Show at the Skylark Bar in San Francisco, 3089 16th Street (map). The Hot Toddies are very pleased to present an evening to remember! Not one, not two, but THREE special guests: the fabulous Miss May, the magnificent Rasa Vitalia, and for the first time in our show the lovely and amazing Sweet Tea! • "Take It to Eleven" with Bombshell Betty, her Burlesqueteers, Fromagique, and Los Shimmy Shakers at the Elbo Room in San Francisco, 647 Valencia Street (map). The Burlesqueteers are "taking it to eleven" for their Graduation Extravaganza! They'll have Burlesque Intensive I graduates stepping on stage for the first time ever to delight you with their solo debuts! Plus Intensive II graduates and more experienced performers will be stepping up our game, puttin' on the Ritz, and putting on their A game to bring you our BEST acts EVER! • Kentucky Fried Woman presents I Will Always Love You: A Tribute To Whitney Houston at Club 21 in Oakland, 2111 Franklin Street (map). Perfomances in tribute to the late Whitney Houston from Vixen Noir, Landa Lakes, Dorian Faust, Brock Cocker, Juicy D. Light, Cherry Galette, The Hot Totties, and Nefarious Vulvaleen.
