San Francisco area burlesque for December 8 to December 14, 2010

There's a blizzard's worth of shows this week, but five of them happen on Friday night!

One of those will be the Sin Sisters Burlesque show in Santa Cruz. I haven't seen a lot of shows down there on the coast, so now the residents there don't have to drive up the coast to enjoy some burlesque. Hooray!

Looking at the other shows, some visiting performers such as Kitty Victorian of Washington, D.C. and Fever Blister of Los Angeles will be making a few appearances while they're in the Bay Area. If you don't see them at one show, you may be able to catch their acts at another.

There's quite a few shows with holiday themes, and then there are some which are jam-packed with performers. It looks like Bombshell Betty and Fromagique show on Tuesday may never end with all the acts they have scheduled!

Please feel free to peruse the calendar and see what appeals to you. Whichever show you choose to attend, you'll probably have a good time!

• Thursday, December 9: Little Minsky's Burlesque and Variety Show at Club Deluxe in San Francisco, 1511 Haight Street (map). San Francisco's longest-running monthly burlesque show has a quite the lineup this Thursday. Polly Peabody from Los Angeles will be the hostess for your evening which will also feature Washington D.C.'s Kitty Victorian. Other featured ecdysiasts will be Kellita of the Hot Pink Feathers, Alotta Boutté, Dottie Lux, Kentucky Fried Woman, and Bitter Waitress. There will also be live music by Rob Reich, Daniel Fabricant, Linda Robertson, Sheelagh Murphy, and Erika Von Volkyrie. It will be quite the show! Doors at 9pm, show at 10. $5, 21+.
  


• Friday, December 10: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street (map). Help Lady Satan celebrate her birthday at this week's Red Hots Burlesque show! Joining in the celebration will be Alotta Boutté, Kitty Victorian, Fever Blister from Los Angeles, Titland, and birthday girl Lady Satan! Show at 7:30pm. $5-10, sliding scale. 21+.


• Also Friday: Sin Sisters Burlesque presents An Evening of Debauchery at the Church House in Santa Cruz, 429 Pennsylvania Avenue (map). Santa Cruz's own Sin Sisters Burlesque bring their dazzling and dangerous show with a dynamite lineup guaranteed to set your soul on fire. Starring Madam Chartreuse, Miss Balla Fire, Cyanide Cyn, Babraham Lincoln, Vera DeVille, Bettie Krueger, Rizzo Rogue, and Lady Nyx! With special guests Patty Cakes Delicious, Fina Fatale, Tasty Temptress, and all the way from New Orleans, Dorian Faust! Doors at 7pm, show at 8. $10 donation at the door. 21+.


• Also Friday: Barbary Coast Burlesque at the Impala Restaurant and Lounge in San Francisco, 501 Broadway (map). Barbary Coast Burlesque invites you to a speakeasy engagement at Impala. A romantic evening of concupiscent dining and spicy burlesque entertainment. With appearances by Kellita of the Hot Pink Feathers, Vienna La Rouge, Mynx D'Meanor of Fishnet Follies, Wiggy Darlington, Sid Scenic of The Scenic Sisters, and Bunny Pistol of Barbary Coast Burlesque! This event will take place in Impala's private speakeasy lounge downstairs. Entrance on Kearny Street. 8pm $15 at the door, $10 (plus fees) in advance at barbarycoastburlesque-efbevent.eventbrite.com. 21+


• Also Friday: A Mischievous Maidens Chirstmas at the Skylark Bar in San Francisco, 3089 16th Street (map). A holiday-themed burlesque show featuring a stripping Santa, naughty sugar plum fairies and more! Let the Mischievous Maidens get you into the Christmas spirit! 8pm. No cover, 21+.


• Also Friday: The Lusty Lady's Kinky Kiss-Mass Holiday Party at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, 375 11th Street (map). There will be bands, burlesque, and all kinds sexy fun and games with the Lusty Ladies and friends! This is our fundraiser so we can make necessary repairs and keep the joint open. Performing live will be Destroyer (KISS cover band), The Minks (all girl Kinks cover band), Trixxie Carr, and Horror X. With hot burlesque from Sparkly Devil, Mz K of F'Risque, The Sugarplum Elves, Lady Satan, and Siouxsie Q. Plus The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Devil Dolls MC, kissing booth,
  The Candy Cane Suck-off Contest, and more! With DJ Omar and your hosts, Kingfish of the Hubba Hubba Revue and Princess Pandora. 9pm to 2am. $12 general admission, $15 VIP Lounge. 21+
  


• Saturday, December 11: Le Boy at the White Horse Bar in Oakland, 6551 Telegraph Avenue (map). Dicky Luv presents the '80s Queer Christmas Show and Dance Party! There will be singing, dancing, drag kings and queens! With performances by Kitty Victorian, Fever Blister, Genie Rich, Fella-Fem, Mr. Bean, Oh Cody, and Cemora! Doors at 7pm, show at 8. $10, 21+.
  


• Monday, December 13: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown Club in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue (map). Give the yourself the gift of Monday night burlesque at the Uptown! Included will be Kitty Victorian from Washington, D.C.! Plus Joie de Vivre, Lady Monster, Room for Cream, and a full set from Pink Flamingo & The Mai Tais performing "Wonka Wonderland!" Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15. $5, 21+ .


• Tuesday, December 14: Séduction Féroce at Era Art Bar in Oakland, 19 Grand Avenue (map). This month features a great line-up of performers to tantalize your taste buds. There will be belly dancing, drag, burlesque, a stage kitten that will make you lick your bowl of milk clean, Midnight Magenta Muse, and the evening will be hosted by guest MC Kingfish of the Hubba Hubba Revue. And the man that'll be keeping the show on flow is DJ Paul Rosas! With performances by Performances by Billie Boudoir, Mz K of F'risque, P-Raw the Whore of the Underworld, Dottie Lux, Kitty Victorian, Room for Cream, Ophelia Coeur de Noir, Patricia Misery, Moan Cheri, Hotcakes, Vixen Noir, Jack Dandy,Ms. Prick and Libby Doe! 8pm. $5, 21+.


• Also Tuesday: Bombshell Betty and Fromagique present All Kinds of Sexy Burlesque Benefit Show at the Elbo Room in San Francisco, 847 Valencia Street (map). It'll be holiday mayhem that you will never forget! Bombshell Betty and Fromagique have dolls that come to life, rioting reindeer and other winter wildlife, Santa's run wild, treats for the nice and the naughty girls and boys, and much, much more! Benefiting the Bombshell Betty Everyday Bombshell Scholarship Program. With burlesque acts by Bombshell Betty, Red Velvet, Dangerous Delilah, Mint Julep, Violet Streak, Pickles Kintaro, Madonna-May Hemm, Nirvannah Bliss, Pearl E. Gates, Summer Fling, Carlita Cupcake, and Andi Stardust!
