Long-running shows like Little Minsky's on Thursday and Burlesque n' Brass on Saturday will be having their first shows of the year.
There are free shows such as Hotbuns Honky-Tonk Burlesque and The Mischievous Maidens show on Friday for those on a budget.
For those of you near Santa Cruz, the Sin Sisters will be having their first show of the year this Saturday.
For those of you who like boylesque and wrestling, Go Deep -- For the Boys on Thursday is the show for you. Lube wrestling with men. Brought to you by the fellows of sfBoylesque!
Red Hots Burlesque is even bringing audiences classy chicken burlesque on Friday evening. I'm assuming there will be chicken-themed acts, but one never really knows! Also, The Shanghai Pearl will be teaching an RHB School of Shimmy class ("Drama Queen: Owning the Stage through Embodied Presence and Grace") this Saturday at the Center for Sex and Culture starting at 4:00 p.m. See redhotsburlesque.com for more information!

With wrestlers such as the Puerto Rican Wolverine, Zogzar the Barbarian, and more! Boylesque from Charley Gauxdown of the Bohemian Brethren, and music from Drama Bin Laden! Ass painting contest! - Also Thursday: Little Minsky's at Club Deluxe in San Francisco, 1511 Haight Street (map). They've royalty in the house as their hostess for the night is none other than the captivating Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy, renowned Russian drag opera diva. They're also pleased to announce a couple of special guests from Seattle - the luscious and lively burlesque darling The Shanghai Pearl and the mesmerizing juggling artiste Nickolai Pirak. They've sonorous selections from celebrated cabaret chanteuse Carly Ozard and smoky jazz stylings from songstress Lily Taylor with the incomparable Joe Wicht tickling the ivories. And let's hear it for that slyly seductive dance troupe The Scarlet Ladders, the tantalizing Truvy Trollop, entrancing La Chica Boom, classy Kiss Me Kate and winsome Ruby White. That's right y'all they are back and bringing you one of the best burlesque hoedowns west of sunset! Talk about spicing up the meaning of happy hour with these hotties shakin' and shimmin' on top of the bar! Performances by Pickles Kintaro, Ava Lanche, Lady Satan, and Annie Oakland! Join the Feathers with their musical cohorts Blue Bone Express at Cafe Van Kleef for sets and sets of not only live, but exceedingly lively music and dance! This month's show will feature La Bamboo Vixen, Ada Lavender, Minnie Cupcakes, stage kitten Booty Bizerk, and special surprises! Doors open at 8:30pm, show starts at 9:30pm. $10. 21+.
- Also Saturday: Sin Sisters Burlesque at The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, 1011 Pacific Avenue (map). Sin Sisters Burlesque are getting ready to take 2012 by storm!
