Week of July 7, 2008: SF Bay Area burlesque shows

I hope everybody enjoyed their 4th of July weekend! Here's what's on tap for burlesque shows this week:

• Monday: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland. Doors at 9pm, show starts at 10. $5 cover, 21+ w/ID.
• Thursday: Little Minsky's at Club Deluxe in San Francisco. Doors at 9pm, show starts at 10. $5 cover, 21+ w/ID.
• Friday: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco. Show at 7:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.
• Saturday: Burlesque 'n Brass: Carnaval Jazz Cabaret w/Hot Pink Feathers and Blue Bone Express at Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland. Doors at 8pm, show starts at 9:30. $10, 21+ w/ID.

Looks like a good week! This will be our only chance to see the Hot Pink Feathers this month, and that's always a treat. Plus, Little Minsky's is having their once-a-month show, and Red Hots will feature the West Coast premiere of "The Terror of Titty Town." See many of the movie's stars perform live! Woo hoo!
