Alotta Boutté hosts tonight's Little Minsky's at Club Deluxe

Join host Alotta Boutté as she hosts Little Minsky's Burlesque and Variety Show at Club Deluxe in San Francisco.

One of the longest-running burlesque shows in the area, Little Minsky's will often feature visiting performers. This month, Seattle's Ruby Rouge will be performing, along with local performers Vera DeVille, Bunny Pistol, Miss Balla Fire, Pickles Kintaro, Dorian Faust, and Miss Twin Peaks! Also appearing will be with contortion acrobat Elliot, cabaret singer Norman Vane and pianist Alan Choy!

Club Deluxe is located at 1511 Haight Street in San Francisco (map). The doors open at 9;00 p.m., and the show starts at 10;00. Get there early to get a good spot from which to see the show, as it's a intimate club and the good places go fast. Entry is $5.00.

Ladies and gents, it's almost Little Minsky's time, so grab yourself a cocktail and settle in for another night of saucy shenanigans and stylish showgirls. Our gregarious and gorgeous hostess for the evening is none other than the dynamic diva Alotta Boutté leading a cast of lovely burlesque ladies - the ravishing Vera DeVille, vivacious Bunny Pistol, sizzling Miss Balla Fire, seductive Ruby Rouge from Seattle, the enticing Pickles Kintaro, vibrant Dorian Faust and majestic Miss Twin Peaks. And we'll have some fine flexible feats from contortionist acrobat Elliot and clever comedic concoctions from cabaret crooner Norman Vane with piano virtuoso Alan Choy.

Red Hots Burlesque shows sandwich Thanksgiving 2011

Though there may not be any shows on Thanksgiving Day this year, there will be two Red Hots Burlesque shows on the evenings before and after T-Day this year at San Francisco's El Rio!

On Wednesday, November 23, RHB's November Featured Performer Kiss Me Kate will be completing her reign along with Sheba Queen of the Night, The Empress, and Kevin Young! Dottie Lux will be the host.

On Friday, November 25, see a pair of debut performances from RHB School of Shimmy graduates Clavicle Cupcake and Maraschino Poppins, along with acts from Miss Twin Peaks, Laika Fox, Rosalynn La Roux, and Ruby Vixen! Dottie Lux will once again be hosting.

El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (map). Both shows will start at 7:30 p.m., and the cover is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00.

The Shimmy Syndicate Burlesque premieres this Tuesday, May 24

The Pink Secret presents The Shimmy Syndicate Burlesque this Tuesday night at 10:00 p.m. at Club 93 in San Francisco.

The Pink Secret is an alumni of the Red Hots Burlesque School of Shimmy, and this will be her debut as a show producer. She's part masked superhero, and part pink-haired alien hottie! Here she is in her stage debut at the School of Shimmy Showcase this past March.

Also performing will be Barbary Doll, G.G. Dejaneiro, and Miss Twin Peaks!

In an exchange of email messages, the Pink Secret explained that she's hoping that this will become a monthly show and that it will help new burlesque performers. "Since it's a little difficult to gain notoriety when you first start in burlesque, the idea of the show, assuming it will continue, is to be a place where new performers can get more experience on the stage."

The show will be unique in one significant way. As the she explains, "It's a little bit different format than most shows around here -- as in, we can't really have a live host. Experiments, yo!"

Club 93 is located at 93 9th Street in San Francisco (map). The show starts at 10:00 p.m., so get there a few minutes early to get a good seat. And bring $3.00 for the cover and a few more bucks for drinks!

All classes are open to students of any age or gender who want to shake it on stage or in the bedroom. No previous dance or performance experience is required. As well as learning to build your burlesque attitude; feel great about your body, and an open discussion about increased confidence and positive thinking.
