SF Bay Area burlesque for the week of August 25, 2008

Things are picking up steam this week, as August comes to a close. We've got a great start to the week with Uptown Hubba Hubba and the Devil-Ettes!

• Monday, August 18: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown Club in Oakland. Joining the Devil-Ettes will be Josie Starre, Bunny Pistol, and special guest Vagabondage. Doors at 9pm, show at 10. $5 cover, 21+ w/ID.
• Wednesday, August 20: Burlesqueteers at Stagewerx in SF. Milkshake, Tinky Sparkle, Sweet M'Alice and others will perform with solo debuts by Bottoms Up and Red Velvet. Doors at 7pm, show at 8. $12-15, 18+.
• Friday, August 22: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco. From NYC LA John Joseph, The Flying Fox, BB Gunn and more! Show at 7:30pm. $5-10, sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.
• Also Friday: Sweet Like Candy at Velvet in Oakland. A VIP party featuring performances by Cherry Gallete and Kentucky Fried Woman. Party starts at 7pm. VIP package is $40.
