Little Minsky's Six Year Celebration this Thursday, May 12

This Thursday evening, May 12, Little Minsky's Burlesque and Variety Show will be celebrating their six year anniversary. And you are all invited to the celebration at Club Deluxe!

Little Minsky's is San Francisco's longest running monthly burlesque show. It's also one of the most diverse in terms of talent. It's usually a mix of burlesque, drag, belly dancing, jazz, comedy, and other vaudevillian artists. This month, the featured acts will include Twilight Vixen Revue, Sister Kate, jazz ensemble The Cottontails with vocalists Karina Denike, Lily Taylor, and Alotta Boutté, dare-devil Molotov, Kristina Nekiya of Los Angeles, Kellita of the Hot Pink Feathers, Vienna La Rouge, Mynx d'Meanor, Lady Monster, Sid Scenic, Lady Satan, ElectiKat, Portugal's Rita Braga, and Kingfish of the Hubba Hubba Revue as emcee. That's an amazing lineup!

The doors open at 9:00 p.m., and the show starts at 10:00. Get there early to get a seat or spot to stand with a good view of the stage. If you've been to Club Deluxe, you'll know that if you're late, it may be hard to find a place to see the stage!

Cafe Deluxe is located at 1511 Haight Street in San Francisco (map). It's a 21 and older club, so bring your ID just in case you get carded. Cover is still just $5.00!

Ladies and gents, join us in celebrating six years of saucy shenanigans, musical merriment, stylish showgirls and vaudevillian hijinks. That's right, it's Little Minsky's sixth anniversary and we've a splendid shindig filled with fabulous burlesque beauties and vintage hot jazz with sideshow diversions. We have two terrific troupes - the gorgeous glamour gals of the Twilight Vixen Revue and the stunning genre-blending belly dance trio Sister Kate. Some rollicking tunes from stellar jazz outfit The Cottontails with virtuoso vocalists Karina Denike, Lily Taylor and Alotta Boutté. Astounding sword-swallowing feats from the mischievous Molotov. A lavish line-up of striptease talents with the captivating Kristina Nekyia (LA), shimmy-sational Kellita (of Hot Pink Feathers), ever-elegant Vienna La Rouge, delightful Mynx d'Meanor, lovely Lady Monster, exquisite Sid Scenic, tantalizing Lady Satan and high-voltage ElectriKat. And we'll be welcoming charming guest ukulele-strumming songstress Rita Braga from Lisbon, Portugal. MCs for the night are the irrepressible impresario Kingfish (of the Hubba Hubba Revue) and vibrant variety artiste Alotta Boutté. Special thanks to all of the brilliant performers we've had over the years, the audience that's made them feel at home and everyone who's ever lent a hand to keep the show rolling. This month at Little Minsky's Burlesque and Variety Show sees the return of prodigal son Scotty the Blue Bunny, visiting performer Polly Peabody from Los Angeles, and some audience favorites such as Lady Satan, Ruby White, Miss Mae Western, Bunny Pistol, and Mynx d'Meanor!

Little Minsky's will be at Club Deluxe in San Francisco, which is located at 1511 Haight Street (at Ashbury, map). Doors open at 9 p.m., and the show starts at 10 p.m. Cover is only $5, and you must be 21 or older to see the show.

He's been gone, but the bunny's back in the bay area to tickle your funny bone and traumatize the moral majority. Mistress of ceremonies is none other than the sarcastically seductive Odessa Lil, your gorgeous guide to a night of alluring acts from those fabulous gaiety girls the Diamond Daggers, smoldering guest burlesque sensation Polly Peabody from LA, the adorable Ruby White, infernally hot Lady Satan, scandalous Miss Mae Western, irrepressible Bunny Pistol and slinky Mynx d'Meanor. And we have a sparkling new number from incredible, flexible dancing duo Mighty Girl Cabaret, created by Mai Tai, long-time Minsky's favorite and founding member of Kitty Kitty Bang Bang. For your listening pleasure, we've some choice original tunes from Karina Denike, blending styles from Motown and vintage smoky melodies backed by a fine assortment of her musical friends.

It's a special occasion this Thursday as San Francisco wishes a fond farewell to The Flying Fox, co-creator and producer of Little Minsky's. She'll be flying back to New York City to live and perform.

As usual, it'll be a show featuring a mix of Little Minsky favorites and talent new to the Club Deluxe stage. There will be burlesque dancing and live music. Good booze and even better people. And Scotty the Blue Bunny will host!

So head in out of the cold and make merry at Little Minsky's this Thursday. The show is a bargain at just five bucks! :-D

Ladies and gents, Little Minsky's serves up another round of saucy
shenanigans, vaudevillian hijinks, cabaret tunes and burlesque
beauties in one intoxicating show. The irrepressible and undefinable
Scotty the Blue Bunny hosts this sultry night featuring the striptease
talents of the daring and delightful Diamond Daggers, the ever-elegant
Vienna La Rouge in all of her custom costume finery, recent Seattle
transplant the luscious Sugar La Vie, the vivacious Dottie Lux,
delicious Honey Le Bang and spectacular Mai Tai. And for those that
haven't heard, it's the farewell performance for Little Minsky's
co-creator The Flying Fox as we bid her bon voyage for New York City.
That's right, there are other coasts to be conquered and we know
she'll be taking them by storm. And on the musical side, we have
stellar original songs from Karina Denike and her band of guest
virtuosos, sizzling vocalizations from Alotta Boutté and solo works by
the lovely-voiced Lily Taylor.

So step in out of the chill weather, grab a cocktail or two, warm your
spirits with one of the hottest shows in town and join us for a
rousing send-off for The Flying Fox with all our best wishes...
