It's the beginning of June. And it's the first Friday of the month. Which means it's time for First Friday Follies!The perfect way to cap off an evening of Art Murmur, Oakland's monthly art walk. First Friday Follies is a free burlesque and variety show at the Stork Club.
This month, see performers including Atlanta's The Lady Ms. Vagina Jenkins, Seattle's Violet DeVille, Elyse Elaine, Pony LePony, Magnoliah Black, Sugar Cane Jane, Dorian Faust, Mojo DeVille and Sgt. Die Weis!
Plus, listen to the live music of Matt Holdaway's Army!
The show starts at 9:00 p.m. But the room does get packed and you probably won't see much from the back of the room, so get there early.
The Stork Club is located at 2330 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland (map). It's a free show, but donations are warmly welcomed!
