Satan's Angel Benefit Show at Barbary Coast Burlesque, Wednesday, December 9

Satan's Angel, a San Francisco native and legendary burlesque performer, has recently been ill and has incurred some medical bills. So Bunny Pistol has gathered an absolutely fantastic line-up of Bay Area burlesque talent to help!

From Cupcake to Madam Chartreuse, from the Cock-T's to the Devil-Ettes, from Alotta Boutté to Eva Von Slut, they're all coming out to help the Queen of the Fire Tassels. Though Satan's Angel won't be there in person, she'll be there in spirit. See the full roster of performer below. You'll have to see it to believe it! :-)

In addition to the performances, there be a raffle will prizes including Hot Pink Feathers' Showgirl Academy classes, tickets to Burlesque n' Brass at Cafe Van Kleef, art by Alice Stribling, Thee Merry Widows t-shirts and CDs, hair ornaments from Sparkly Devil, and lots more!

As Barbary Coast Burlesque bids farewell to Annie's Social Club we will come together to raise funds for the fierce and fiery living legend of burlesque, Satan's Angel!

A San Francisco native, Satan's Angel burned up the streets of North Beach in the 1960s with her trademark five flaming tassels, nearly as scorching hot as her five-alarm figure! After coming out of retirement in 2002, Angel continues to be a fixture of the current burlesque revival, as well as teach, befriend and inspire hundreds of young women who look to her as a muse.

Recently, Angel has been saddled with medical bills - so Barbary Coast Burlesque has orchestrated an all-star burlesque benefit to help the original Queen of Fire Tassels!

I've been waiting to get this news on my hot little monitor. Yes, it's the line-up for this month's Little Minsky's! And look! From exotic and faraway El Aye, the guest MC is Polly Peabody! ;-)

The wait is over... Little Minsky's is coming soon to a Thursday near you! In vibrant, vivacious, voluptuous 3-D! Because, well, real life is in 3-D now isn't it? Unless you have an eye patch, in which case we hopefully weren't responsible, but even the dimensionally impaired will appreciate this curvaceous cavalcade of vaudevillian delights! Up from Los Angeles we're pleased to welcome guest MC and veteran burlesque sensation Polly Peabody, who's many credits include contributions to Kubrilesque - a burlesque tribute to the films of Stanley Kubrick, running Lopsided Productions in LA along with co-conspirator Crystal Swarovski and stage appearances across the country from the Va Va Voom Room (New York and San Francisco) to The Red Rooster Review in Key West. Joined by such sizzling local talents as the cross-over belly dance burlesque troupe Sister Kate, Amelia Paradise & Sir Loin Strip (of the Diamond Daggers), Kristina Cañizares (also visiting from LA), Lady Satan, Delilah, Lady Monster, Miss de Minna, Sid Scenic and The Flying Fox. And for some musical diversions we have the toe-tapping rag timey tunes of The Dimestore Dandy and smoldering melodies from Alotta Boutté.

For the first time on the Minsky's stage, we're pleased to welcome the sizzling Vienna La Rouge known for her spectacular costume creations as well as her elegant allure. And visiting us from New York, Baton Rouge flaunts her twirling talents and for once we're not talking about tassels here. Your mistress of ceremonies, the shady chanteuse Jill Tracy leads this night of delightful diversions featuring the smoldering Flame Cynders, luscious Miss de Minna, red hot Dottie Lux, Pin Key Lee, Ariyana La Fey, Honey Lawless and Kiss Me Kate. But wait, there's more. Swing to the slick jazz sounds of the Deluxe All-Stars, a combo of stellar musicians from the Deluxe scene assembled for your enjoyment by hep cat trombonist Danny Grewen.
