Lady Satan has let me know that Sugar Shack SF will be back on Friday, May 1, 2009. Yay! And guess who is hosting. Yes, it's that Evil Doctor/Colonel/"Little Bobo" Kingfish of Hubba Hubba Revue! And it's a pajama party to boot! :-P

Recent New York transplant, Lady Satan Sugar Shack (NY) and Los Angeles relocated Ruby White Burlesque-A-Go-Go (LA) join forces with DJ extraordinaire, Sergio Iglesias (Teenage Dance Craze, “Best Underground Dance Party”- SF Bay Guardian), DJ Matt Bonar, the mastermind behind the 7-plus years running party, 1964!, and SF legend Russell Quann (The Mummies) to co-produce San Francisco’s favorite 60s dance party and burlesque show, Sugar Shack! This 60’s themed pajama party features performances by the Original Sin herself Lady Satan, the Goddamn Adorable Ruby White, sweet southern sexpot RunAround Sue (Sugar Shack NY/Richmond, VA.), kitten with a whip Honey Lawless,blonde bombshell Pin Key Lee (Kiss Que C'est), and the bawdy beauty Miss Mae Western (Kiss Que C'est). Of course the undeniable emcee of the evening is none other than Kingfish! Of Hubba Hubba Revue (“Best Burlesque Show in 2008”-East Bay Express).. So put on your pjs and be prepare to be shaken and stirred!!

This is the first week of Hubba Hubba Revue's "Big Show," the first Barbary Coast Burlesque of 2009, the first Dr. Sketchy's, and the return of Sugar Shack SF! Hey, things are really starting to get rolling again!

• Monday, January 12, 2009: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. Join a fantastic lineup of talent including Miss Mae Western, Alotta Boutte, Bunny Pistol, Lida Fire, Pin Key Lee, sASSy Hotbuns, and Tippy Canoe for a Monday night to remember. And, oh yeah, Kingfish and Eddie are your hosts with the mosts! Doors 9pm, show 10ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.
• Wednesday, January 14: Barbary Coast Burlesque at Annie's Social Club in San Francisco, 917 Folsom Street. Barbary Coast Burlesque Presents... "Dreaming of Hot Summer Sizzle." Join host Odessa Lil for an evening of sizzling entertainment in the middle of winter! Featuring Kiss Me Kate, Honey Le Bang, Dottie Lux, Honey Lawless, and Bunny herself. San Francisco, CA (July 8, 2008) – Calling all movers and shakers, there’s a new dance party in town - Sugar Shack takes San Francisco by storm!

Recent New York transplant, Lady Satan (Sugar Shack (NY), Red Hots Burlesque (NY & SF)) and Los Angeles relocated Ruby White (Lux & Ruby’s Burlesque-A-Go-Go (LA), Red Hots Burlesque (SF)) join forces with DJ extraordinaire, Sergio Iglesias (Teenage Dance Craze, “Best Underground Dance Party”- SF Bay Guardian) and DJ Matt Bonar, the mastermind behind the 7-plus years running party, 1964!, to co-produce San Francisco’s favorite new 60s dance party and burlesque show, Sugar Shack.

The debut will feature 60’s themed burlesque performances by the Original Sin herself Lady Satan, the Goddamn Adorable Ruby White, Purveyor of Class, Sass & Ass, Sparkly Devil and the bootie shakin’ Bunny Pistol. Sugar Shack comes to San Francisco!

It looks like Lady Satan is bringing New York's Sugar Shack Burlesque and Dance Party to the City by the Bay!

According to an interview with Legs Malone in the Valley Advocate, Sugar Shack was founded in New York by RunAround Sue and Lady Satan.

There's not much information it seems, other than that the first show will be August 9, 2008, at the Elbo Room. Oh, there will be girls! Dancing! Go-Go! And mooore! With Sergio Iglesias and MattB providing the tunes.

Looks fun! I'll put out more details as they become available.
