Saturday, July 14  

Burlesque n' Brass at Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland, 1621 Telegraph Avenue (map). Doors at 8:30pm, show at 9:30. $10. 21 and older. It's another Saturday evening with Kellita, her Hot Pink Feathers, and their musical cohorts Blue Bone Express! With performances by Kellita, Lily Diamond, La Bamboo Vixen, and special guest The Artist Formerly Known as Jen!

Sunday, July 15

Debauchery at the White Horse Bar in Oakland, 6551 Telegraph Avenue (map). Doors at 7:00pm, show at 8:00. $5.00 to $15.00 sliding scale. 21 and older. Hosted by Red Hots Burlesque's Dottie Lux, the theme of this show will be "Homotastic and Patriotic!" It will feature "an enticing selection of salaciously smoldering performers, titillating talent, delicious drinks..." This show will benefit A Mused Collective.

Celebrate Mardi Gras with the Hot Pink Feathers and Blue Bone Express at Vitus in Oakland

It's Fat Tuesday, so that means that the Hot Pink Feathers (pictured) will be dancing! This year, they're teaming up with their Burlesque n' Brass partners Blue Bone Express at Vitus in Oakland.

See Kellita and the rest of the Feathers perform their World Cabaret Showgirl dances for you! Hear the New Orleans-tinged party jazz of Oakland's very own Blue Bone Express. Your emcee during the evening will be Kingfish of the Hubba Hubba Revue. Is there a better way to celebrate Mardi Gras in the Bay Area? No!

Want to learn the dance moves of the Hot Pink Feather and perhaps perform with them someday? Go to hotpinkfeathers.com. There, you'll learn about upcoming classes and workshops, including a Carnaval Showgirl '12 package that includes Carnaval SF 2012 Grand Parade participation with the Feathers!

Vitus is located at 201 Broadway in Oakland (map). Vitus is the former Duke's Restaurant on the corner of Broadway and 2nd Street. The doors open at 8:00 p.m., and Blue Bone Express starts playing at 9:30. Get there early for a good spot to see the show and enjoy some of their savory sandwiches! Tickets are $10.00 and may be purchased in advance at www.vitusoakland.com. All revelers at this show must be 21 and older!

Get "Frisky" with the Hot Pink Feathers in Berkeley this Saturday, May 21

It's almost time for the SF Carnaval Grand Parade, which means that it's almost time for the Hot Pink Feathers to get dressed in their costumes to dance down Mission Street! But they'll need money to buy their costumes. Feather fans don't come easy!

What will the Feathers do? Have a fundraising show, of course! This Saturday, May 21, join the Hot Pink Feathers and some special guests for "Frisky: A Hot Pink Feathers Revue and Carnaval Fundraiser" at the Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley.

The show will feature the Feathers in group and solo acts. So if you missed their big 10th birthday show at the DNA Lounge, then you won't want to miss this show!

Even if you did see that show, you'll want to catch this show to see the Feathers' special guests from Chicago, Lola Martinet of the Dolls of Doom (winner of the Burlesque Hall of Fame's Best Variety Act 2010), and Ray Gunn of the Stage Door Johnnies!

You'll also get to view the solo acts that some of the Feathers have been working on recently. Plus you'll get to see the Feathers perform "Bollywood Burlesque" and "Groovy", which is always a treat!

It'll be a relatively early show at the Shattuck Down Low. The doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the show will start at 8:30 and end about 10:30. Tickets range from $12.00 for a single general admission ticket, to $160.00 for a both which seats six and comes with two bottles of champagne. See below for all of the details. The Shattuck Down Low is located at 2284 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley (map). It's close to the Downtown Berkeley BART station, and there is parking on the street nearby.

New and visiting performers at Monday's Hubba Hubba Revue Uptown show

This Monday, November 8, see some students of the Hot Pink Feathers Showgirl Academy take the Uptown Nightclub stage in Oakland along with some visiting performers at the Hubba Hubba Revue show!

Among the visiting performers will be Ms. Louisa from Minneapolis, Vivi Ennui from Reno, and Twinkletoes McGee from Detroit! Though Vivi and Twinkletoes have performed in the Bay Area fairly frequently in the recent past, this may be Ms. Louisa's first appearance, so give her a warm welcome!

Also extend that same warm welcome to some performers who have just completed the Hot Pink Feathers Showgirl Academy "Crafting the Solo" workshop. Though you may have seen Red Velvet and Cheeky Sweets perform with the Burlesquteers, you can see them perform solo along with their fellow workshop participants La Bamboo Vixen, Lily Diamond, Lolly Gagger, and Joy Ryde!

We are excited to offer a new class in the Hot Pink Feathers Showgirl Academy curriculum: SHOWGIRL FULL BODY BOOTYCAMP! Tone and tighten your showgirl arms and gams, abs and booty in this focused strength-building, calorie burning and fun intensive. Lily Diamond is a pilates and gyrotonic® personal trainer, pole dance instructor, and boasts 25+ years of dance and movement training in styles ranging from ballet to belly dance.
