Join Kingfish, Lee Presson, and the rest of the Hubba Hubba Revue this Monday evening, April 11, for their weekly show at the Uptown Club in Oakland! This week's show will feature several visiting out-of-town performers and some local favorites! Plus hear Pony Death Ride perform live, and experience the magic of Hernan Cortez!

Among the visiting performers will be Kitty Victorian of Washington, DC, Lowa de BoomBoom of Seattle, and Fever Blister of Los Angeles. And you won't want to miss Rizzo Rogue, Dorian Faust, and Babraham Lincoln of Sin Sisters Burlesque! Hubba Hubba Revue: Soviet Union! This Friday, January 14

Return to the days when Krushchev, Brezhnev, and Gorbachev ruled the Evil Empire. Only this time, instead of the USSR it's the UHHR (United Hubba Hubba Revue) Burlesque Empire, and the rulers are named Kingfish and Eddie! Gather your rubles, it's time this Friday evening for the Hubba Hubba Revue: Soviet Union show! Conveniently located at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco!

If you're looking for a show with a lot of burlesque performances with music and comedy, the Hubba Hubba Revue's "Big Show" is it. Recently named by the Travel Chanel as one of the world's top 10 burlesque shows, the Hubba Hubba Revue will often feature visiting performers as well as the best of the Bay. This month's show will feature The Shanghai Pearl from Seattle, Ms. Luisa from Minneapolis, and Fever Blister from Los Angeles, as well as the Twilight Vixen Revue, Lady Satan, Sparkly Devil, Vienna La Rouge, and more!

The doors open at 9:00 p.m., and the show will start at 10:00 or so. Usually, the musical guest (Brothers Horse this month) takes the stage first and plays a set of about 45 minutes, then the burlesque begins after a short break for another 45 minutes, then there's an intermission that lasts about 15-20 minutes. The last set of burlesque performances lasts until about 1:30 a.m., so bring some comfortable shoes! Dancing then takes place until closing time.

If you arrive between 9:00 and 9:30, make sure to purchase you tickets from the box office first. There's a discount ("KGB discount) for those who arrive early, so you'll pay only $10.00 cover instead of the normal $15.00. Once you get the hand stamp, you'll be free to exit the club and return before the show begins. You can also purchase tickets in advance online from dnalounge.com for $12.00.

The DNA Lounge is located at 375 11th Street in San Francisco (map). If you're driving, there's usually plenty of parking on 11th just past Howard.

Start your Halloween weekend off with an evening at Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, then experience All Hallow's Eve with the Hubba Hubba Revue at the DNA Lounge!

At Red Hots, Dottie Lux will welcome back Kitten on the Keys back to the El Rio stage after Kitten's trip back to France to perform with Cabaret New Burlesque. That show was where Mathieu Amalric found the troupe which he filmed in Tournée (On Tour), which competed for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

Also see Ms. Fever Blister as she visits us here in the Bay Area from her home in Bob Barker's guest house in Southern California. I'm sure she jokingly put that on her MySpace page, but one never knows!

Red Hots Burlesque brings you bumps grinds and giggles galore and this week we welcome back RHB favorite, Kitten on the Keys! She is fresh off the plane from her sold out run in France with Cabaret New Burlesque.

In the Lounge, the forbidden science experiments of Dr. Kingfish have torn a rift in space and time, creating a portal to The Haunted Cabaret Parlor. Witness the souls of the damned performing on the new stage for all eternity in a hellish abyss of velvet curtains, candelabras, chandeliers. Sailor St. Claire performs Monday at the Hubba Hubba Revue's Uptown show

Seattle's Sailor St. Claire will be a special guest performer this Monday night at the Uptown's Hubba Hubba Revue show in Oakland. She is an alumnus of Trixie Lane's Kindergarten of Burlesque, and performs with the Tempting Tarts at their monthly show.

Also performing will be Fever Blister and Josie Bunnie from Los Angeles. If you missed them Friday at the DNA Lounge show, this is your last chance to see them unless you travel to Los Angeles!

Barbary Coast Burlesque says goodbye this Wednesday, August 4

It looks like this will be the very last Barbary Coast Burlesque show this Wednesday at the Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco.

It's been over two years since Bunny Pistol premiered BCB on June 18, 2008, at Annie's Social Club. Since then, there have been many monthly shows at Annie's, Hotel Utah, and the Hemlock Tavern.
