From being a showgirl and dancing with the Hot Pink Feathers during the Carnaval SF parade on May 30, to being a reveler or monitor, you can be a part of the party!
Hot Pink Feathers Showgirl Academy spring classes also start on Tuesday, so whether you want to be a Hot Pink Feather, or just want to participate with the Feathers in the parade, there's a package just for you.

2) CARNAVAL SF 2010 THEME for HPF is "TUDO JOIA" ("Everything's Beautiful"). We are being inspired both with our visuals and our music by CARMEN MIRANDA & JOSEPHINE BAKER. All Carnaval packages described below:
We have a variety of ways to be involved, to fit many schedules and budgets!: a) FULL SHOWGIRL, b) SHOWGIRL/REVELER, c) REVELER, d) MONITOR. We also create a group raffle to help defray costs. Read below for details on the different opportunities to join Hot Pink Feathers in Carnaval SF Grand Parade 2010!~
a) FULL SHOWGIRL package includes:
*** participation in Carnaval SF 2010 Grand Parade w/ "Best of Bay" Dance Troupe Hot Pink Feathers!!! (DATE is Sunday May 30th)
*** the glorious accompaniment of LIVE MUSIC in the form of the HOT PINK FEATHERS ALL-STAR MARCHING BAND (15+ strong)
*** 11 Tuesdays (3/16-5/25) of Technique class 7:45-8:45pm complete with personal attention
*** 11 Tuesdays (3/16-5/25) of Choreography and Carnaval Prep 8:45-10:15pm (learn and perform3 Hot Pink Feathers choreographies!)
*** ~3-4 extra practices (times and dates TBA; at least 2 of which will be on a weekend day, closer to the parade date; dates and times outside Tues evenings will be either Thursday nights or weekend days)
*** professionally crafted costume rental, with individual fittings
*** the opportunity to study intensively and intimately with Carnaval SF 2008 Queen Kellita and Hot Pink Feathers!
*** the exhilaration of dancing with a group of spirited, embodied and playful dancers who are all bringing their inner showgirls out right alongside each other, supported by an adoring band!
b) SHOWGIRL/REVELER
*** participation in Carnaval SF 2010 Grand Parade w/ "Best of Bay" Dance Troupe Hot Pink Feathers!!! (DATE is Sunday May 30th)
*** the glorious accompaniment of LIVE MUSIC in the form of the HOT PINK FEATHERS ALL-STAR MARCHING BAND (15+ strong)
*** 5 Tuesdays (4/27-5/25) of Technique class 7:45-8:45pm complete with personal attention
*** 5 Tuesdays (4/27-5/25) of Choreography and Carnaval Prep 8:45-9:30pm (learn and perform 1 Hot Pink Feathers choreography!) Spend 1/3 of the Grand Parade dancing a choreography with the main group and 2/3 shakin' your booty as a Reveler (less choreographed exuberant participation)
*** ~3-4 extra practices (times and dates TBA; at least 2 of which will be on a weekend day, closer to the parade date; dates and times outside Tues evenings will be either Thursday nights or weekend days)
*** elaborate professionally crafted costume rental
*** the opportunity to study intensively and intimately with Carnaval SF 2008 Queen Kellita and Hot Pink Feathers!
*** the exhiliration of dancing with a group of spirited, embodied and playful dancers who are all bringing their inner showgirls out right alongside each other, supported by an adoring band!

*** ~3 out door practices (times and dates TBA; at least 2 of which will be on a weekend day, likely May 16 and 23 and potentially a Thursday eve in mid/late May)
