San Francisco area burlesque for March 24 to March 30, 2010

After all of the activity of the past few weeks, I didn't see this coming up! It's a relatively quiet week in San Francisco burlesque.

This Thursday, catch burlesque favorite Kitten on the Keys at the Madrone Art Bar in San Francisco for a free happy hour show. Then on Monday, she'll be also be appearing in the Hubba Hubba Revue's Monday show at the Uptown Club in Oakland. She'll also be playing piano for the legendary David J (Bauhaus and Love and Rockets) at Trannyshack at DNA Lounge on Friday night!

On Friday, there will be the weekly Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco. I haven't received the line-up yet, but they always have a good show. Also on Friday, within walking distance at Amnesia Bar, you can catch Ariyana La Fay, Lady X, and Pin Key Lee at Baxtalo Drom's Red Cabaret.

• Thursday, March 25: Happy Hour with Kitten on the Keys at Madrone Art Bar in San Francisco, 500 Divisadero Street. Kitten on the Keys (Suzanne Ramsey) tickles the ivories and croons decadent songs of yesteryear. Unearthed Tin Pan Alley Treasures with a twist. 6-9pm. Salsa dancing lessons and DJ dancing starting at 9. No cover, 21+ w/ID.
  


• Friday, March 26: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux brings you a different show every single week! Each event promises the seductive and spicy, absurd and amusing all from local and visiting talent. Show at 7:30pm. $5-10, sliding scale. 21+ w/ID.


• Also Friday: Red Door Cabaret at Amnesia in San Francisco, 853 Valencia Street. Red Door Cabaret; an alluring evening of risque and rowdy dance performances, live music, side show stunts, Balkan Beats, and drag! Featuring Ariyana la Fey, Lady X, and Pin Key Lee, along with Mistress of Ceremonies Doktor Bordello and musical guest Scotch and Bones and DJ Wolfgang Von Cope! 9pm. $5 before 10pm, $10 after. 21+.
  


• Monday, March 29: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. Join the Hubbas as they say farewell to March! And joining them will be the legendary Kitten on the Keys! Plus it's Bunny von Tail's birthday, so help her celebrate by whooping it up for her! Also performing will be Sid Scenic, Casey Castille, Ariyana La Fey, Eeyore the Clown, and Orchid Bellydance! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.
