San Francisco area burlesque for March 17 to March 23, 2010

This coming Monday will see the premiere of the Fishnet Follies in the Bay Area at the Uptown Club in Oakland. They've been given the slot by the Hubba Hubba Revue for that one night!

The Fishnet Follies were founded by Mynx d'Meanor in San Diego several years ago. She has since moved back to San Francisco, so she's brought the Follies to the City by the Bay. She's been joined by Flame Cynders as co-producer, and this pairing promises to result in many wonderful shows in the near future.

Hubba Hubba Revue: Awards Show! will be this Friday at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. They've assembled a tremendous cast, and they'll spoof everything there is to spoof about all of those Hollywood awards shows. It should be something to see!

On Wednesday, Barbary Coast Burlesque will be having a special St. Patrick's Day show at Hotel Utah. There are five burlesquers scheduled, so there should be two acts per performer. They'll also have drink specials, including Irish Car Bombs for $5. Enjoy! :-)

Join emcee Kingfish of Hubba Hubba Revue for a St. Patrick's Day burlesque show guaranteed to make your eyes, Irish or not, smile! Showcasing the talents of Bunny Pistol, Lady Satan, sASSy Hotbuns, Pin Key Lee, and Josie Starre! Drink specials including $4 shots of Jamison and $5 Irish Car Bombs for your drinking pleasure. • Friday, March 19: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in San Francisco, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux brings you a different show every single week! Each event promises the seductive and spicy, absurd and amusing all from local and visiting talent. Show at 7:30pm. $5-10, sliding scale. 21+ w/ID.

• Sunday, March 21: Debauchery at the White Horse Inn in Oakland, 6555 Telegraph Avenue. This month the show benefits Debauchery itself, so that it can keep on putting the show (and benefit local queer orgs) month after month, with dazzling dancers, luscious lapdances, delicious cocktails, and raffle prizes to boot. Dancing post-show! Doors at 7pm, show at 8. $5-15, sliding scale, $10 lap dances. 21+ w/ID.


• Monday, March 22: Uptown Hubba Hubba/Fishnet Follies at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. Come join Fishnet Follies for their first show in SF! Hubba Hubba Revue has given them the special pleasure of letting them have one of their nights at the Uptown in Oakland. See special guests from Japan, Violet Eva and jazz/cabaret singer Maki Rinka! Plus burlesque performers Vienna la Rouge, Pin Key Lee, Mynx d' Meanor, The Indra, and Flame Cynders! Doors at 9pm. $5, 21+ w/ID.
