Suppositori Spelling's featured month ends, fundraiser for Scotty's choppers, all this week at Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio

Suppositori "Spaz" Spellling will be ending her run as Red Hots Burlesque's featured performer of April this week, and Scotty the Blue Bunny will have a fundraiser starting at 4:00 p.m. on Friday for his choppers so he can chew those blue carrots!

Yes, it's another week at Red Hots Burlesque. There are two shows, one on Wednesday and one on Friday. Where you can see performers such as Kitty Von Quim, Ava Lanche, Siren Sapphire, Clavicle Cupcake, and Pickles Kintaro, in addition to a 6'5" Blue Bunny named Scotty! See below for the lineups for each night!

El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (map). Both shows on Wednesday and Friday start at 7:30 p.m. Entry to the showroom is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00.

Suppositori Spelling, named Best Drag Queen of SF 2011 by
SF Bay Guardian, is the internationally prominent San Francisco
personality, consistently raising (and intentionally lowering) the bar for the alternative drag scene since 1997. Since her crowning of the Ms. Trannyshack 2002 title, some of her many career highs include performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland, in 2007) and Glastonbury Festival (England, in 2007 & 2009); a starring role as Jeremy Starr in the upcoming feature film "The Rise And Fall Of Jeremy Starr" ; and emceeing at the Folsom Street Fair in 2008-11.

Free "Crazy Horse" documentary screening and Hubba Hubba show on Monday, February 13? Yes!

This Monday, February 13, there's an opportunity to see a free advance screening of Frederick Wiseman's documentary "Crazy Horse" at the Shattuck Cinemas in Berkeley as well as gain free admission to the Hubba Hubba Revue show at the Uptown Club in Oakland after the screening!

Burlesque Moulin presents Cirque de Pagan at Berkeley's Shattuck Down Low on Saturday, November 19

This Saturday at the Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley, Burlesque Moulin will be putting on their last show of 2011, Cirque de Pagan - A Sexy Celebration of Goddesses & The Divine Feminine!

The show will feature lots of local performers such as Ginger Skyye, Alotta Boutté, Casey Castille, Tali the Tattooed Tart, and more! Your Goddess of Ceremonies for the evening will be Burlesque Moulin's very own Isis Starr!

In addition to the show, there will be food items available, with catering from Simply Bliss and Chef Yulanda. Plus you may shop at the Burlesque Boutique Corner.

The doors will open and you may start dining at 7:00 p.m. The show will start at 8:00. The Shattuck Down Low is located at 2284 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley (map), and it's about a three block walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART station.

Haight Street Hop now "The Hop" and in Brisbane at Club 23 tonight

It's Saturday, October 15, and until just a few days ago, the Haight Street Hop was to be at the Milk Bar in San Francisco tonight. But things change!

Due to circumstances, Handsome Hank Valentine is "hopping" the event down to Brisbane's 23 Club where he'll unveil "The Hop!"

It'll be the same show pretty much, just in a 70-year-old honky tonk/roadhouse, which was there the Bombshells' Booze, Broads, and Hot Rods event was held earlier this year. Tonight, you'll be able to check out the stylings of Dixie DeLish, Roxy Reve, and Siren Sapphire of Last Night's Fling as they perform some Halloween and western-themed burlesque acts! See below of a description of what else will be happening at Club 23!

Things start "hopping" at 8:00 p.m. Club 23 is located at 23 Visitacion Avenue in Brisbane (map). Entry is $5.00.

This Friday evening, catch some burlesque beauties over at the Haight Street Hop in San Francisco. The shindig will be starting at 9:30 p.m. with a $5.00 dance lesson from Rockin Raul over at the Milk Bar, 1840 Haight Street (map). The show itself is free before 10:00, and $5.00 after.

The evening really gets to start moving with a performance by the voodoo swing band, Slim Jenkins! They play the dirtiest R&B around!
