The Bombshells 14th Annual Booze Broads & Hot Rods this Saturday, April 14, at the Burlingame Embassy Suites

Ah, spring is here and the warm, dry weather has arrived. Well, actually the monster storms have, but by Saturday they'll be gone! And arriving will be booze, broads, and hot rods! Yes, The Bombshells are presenting the 14th Annual Booze Broads & Hot Rods at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame!

There will be a pre-1965 car show, and there will be bands that play rockabilly and rock n' roll! Tennessee's The Original Planet Rockers! Roddy Jackson! Almon Loos & The Hoop and Hollers! And more rockabilly bands! And when the bands aren't playing, there will be music from DJ Okie Oran, DJ Tanoa "Samoa Boy", and DJ Don't Scratch the Wax!

And of course, there will be burlesque with local stars Vera DeVille and Vienna La Rouge!

All of this will happen Saturday, April 14, at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame (map). The fun starts at 1:00 p.m., and continues for 12 hours until 1:00 a.m. Tickets are $20, unless you have a car entered in the car show, then it's $15.00 to get in to see the show.

The Hop - Valentine's Day Edition with Slim Jenkins at the Elbo Room tonight

This Friday night at the Elbo Room, catch The Hop with special musical guest Slim Jenkins! Also performing will be ecdysiasts Truvy Trollop, Bella Rockafella, and Kittie Von Tittie, and the band the Rumble Strippers! Plus there will be stylists, photographers, and even the sponsors will be present with door prizes! It will be a fun rockabilly party!

The Elbo Room is located at 647 Valencia Street in San Francisco (map). Things start at 9:00 p.m., and entry is $14.00. The show is a 21 and older event.

The Rumble Strippers are a new band comprised of veteran SF stage rockers that blend rockabilly, psychobilly, country, blues, surf and soul into a fun rollicking live experience you can really move to! Bella Rockafella was born in South Africa and Bred in Nebraska but now mows em down in California and will impress with pure hotness in a rare SF appearance! Truvy Trollop (Truvy Trollop's Tease Training, Hubba Hubba) is the sexy siren from the south! We stole her from Nashville and don't wanna give her back! Kittie Von Tittie is new to the burlesque scene but not the stage. This fiery redhead has been entertaining audiences in the California for years as Kat Bryson, a sexy dancing comedienne/siren. The lovely and talented vintage hair specialist Ileath Bridges will be doing free vintage updos and pompadours. The talented and amicable Andrew from Raven Pictures will be taking free retro style photos in a Valentine's themed photo area. Haight Street Hop now "The Hop" and in Brisbane at Club 23 tonight

It's Saturday, October 15, and until just a few days ago, the Haight Street Hop was to be at the Milk Bar in San Francisco tonight. But things change!

Due to circumstances, Handsome Hank Valentine is "hopping" the event down to Brisbane's 23 Club where he'll unveil "The Hop!"

It'll be the same show pretty much, just in a 70-year-old honky tonk/roadhouse, which was there the Bombshells' Booze, Broads, and Hot Rods event was held earlier this year. Tonight, you'll be able to check out the stylings of Dixie DeLish, Roxy Reve, and Siren Sapphire of Last Night's Fling as they perform some Halloween and western-themed burlesque acts! See below of a description of what else will be happening at Club 23!

Things start "hopping" at 8:00 p.m. Club 23 is located at 23 Visitacion Avenue in Brisbane (map). Entry is $5.00.
