Open wide for this week's Red Hots Burlesque show on Friday at El Rio! It'll feature some big mouthed entertainment, including Suppository Spelling, Phat Mandee, Bunny Pistol, Bitter Waitress, Delilah, and Dottie Lux!

The 'Happiest Hour in the Bay' cuntinues on for another week, with some of the loudest and biggest mouths in burlesque. Come see us OPEN WIDE for your entertainment! Along with a great local cast, we have Phat Mandee back visiting us for a special rare performance!

San Francisco area burlesque for the week of October 5, 2009

Looks like this week there will be a convergence! Yes, Red Hots Burlesque and Hubba Hubba Revue will combine to start off the week with RHB's School of Shimmy performing onstage at the Uptown Club in Oakland. You'll see some of the alumni of Dottie Lux's classes shaking and shimmying. Woot!

Later in the week, catch the Hot Pink Feathers, Sister Kate, Tara Quinn, and Barbary Coast Shakedown at Baxtalo Drom -- The Lucky Road: Special Edition at the DNA Lounge on Friday. Kingfish of Hubba Hubba Revue will bring his merry self to host the show.

Add in Thursday's Little Minsky's show and Friday's regular Red Hots Burlesque show, and you've got your burlesque schedule for the first full week of October. :-)

• Monday, October 5: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. This week, Hubba Hubba Revue welcomes Red Hots Burlesque's School of Shimmy! Headmistress Dottie Lux will be bringing S.O.S. alumni including Nikki Sparx, Ava Lanche, Bunny Bardot, Bitter Waitress, Eva Valentina, and many more! Doors at 9pm, show at 10:15ish. $5, 21+ w/ID.


• Thursday, October 8: Little Minsky's at Club Deluxe in San Francisco, 1511 Haight Street. Little Minsky's is brought to you by Douglas Good (of Cabaret Verdalet), The Flying Fox (burlesque glamour girl) and a few shady characters (we dare not name). Look for a line-up of performers on this blog later in the week. Doors at 9pm, show at 10. $5, 21+ w/ID.


• Friday, October 9: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in SF, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux brings you a different show every single week! Each event promises the seductive and spicy, absurd and amusing all from local and visiting talent. Show at 7:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.
