Free burlesque shows at Hotbuns Honky-Tonk Burlesque and Hunny Bunny and Her Hot Toddies tonight

It's as affordable as you can get! Free burlesque shows! The first is at Hotbuns Honky-Tonk Burlesque at The Riptide, and the second is at Hunny Bunny and Her Hot Toddies show at the Skylark Bar. Both shows are in San Francisco, so it's possible to catch two free shows.

At The Riptide, sASSy Hotbuns has put together a show with Lady Satan, Minnie Cupcakes, Annie Oakland, and Cyanide Cyn and Rizzo Rogue of the Sin Sisters! the host will be Kevin Hancock!

The Riptide is located at 3639 Taraval Street in San Francisco (map). The show starts at 6:00 p.m., though happy hour starts at 4:00. If's a free show!

Wedding Anniversary Roast of Sparkly Devil and Bones this Monday at the Uptown in Oakland

It's hard to believe that this is the second San Francisco Fleet Week that has seen Sparkly Devil and Bones as a wedded couple, but it is true. Just a year ago, the Blue Angels were flying overhead as they were getting ready to get married at the DNA Lounge.

So in celebration of the first anniversary of this blessed event, the Hubba Hubba Revue will be hosting an anniversary roast this Monday, October 10, at the Uptown Club in Oakland. Aside from "The Diablos," the Hubba Hubba Revue's Kingfish will be the emcee, and featured roasters will include Lady Satan, Gorilla X, Kevin Hancock, Scission, Steve Hamilton, and Randy Johnson and Patina of Fromagique! With a a burlesque performance from Twinkletoes McGee.

So bring yourself, your laughing gear (aka lungs), and some friends to the Uptown Club on Monday night. You're invited! Doors open at 9:00 p.m., and the roasting will begin at 10:15. Entry is $5.00, and you will need to be 21 or older to attend.

Holly Dai performs at Hubba Hubba Revue in Oakland this Monday, September 12

Tonight, Portland's Holly Dai will be performing at the Hubba Hubba Revue show at the Uptown Club in Oakland. She is the founder and coordinator of the Rose City School of Burlesque, the first school of burlesque in Oregon!

Benefit for Eddie Dane's Eyeballs this Wednesday, November 10, at the Uptown Nightclub in Oakland

Eddie Dane of the Hubba Hubba Revue needs your assistance!

Along with Kingfish, Eddie Dane is pretty much co-everything Hubba Hubba Revue. They work as a team, and you can see him work his vaudevillian magic with Kingfish every Monday at the Uptown Nightclub and at their monthly "Big Show" at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco every third Friday.

Recently, Eddie has learned that he needs to have a series of eye surgeries to save his sight. And like many people in burlesque, he has no health insurance, so the medical bills will be astronomical.

This is where you can help out. This Wednesday, November 10, there will be a benefit show at the aforementioned Uptown Nightclub. The proceeds from "Eddie's Eyeballs Benefit" will go towards his medical bills, and you'll have a fantastic time, too!

Check out the lineup of performers for the evening! Miss Balla Fire, Sparkly Devil, Last Night's Fling, Twilight Vixen Revue, Honey Penny... It's a veritable who's who of Bay Area Burlesque! And that's not all! There will be comedy from Kevin Hancock and Mary Van Note! Plus, there will be music from The Phenomenauts and Toshio Hirano! O. M. G. If you haven't heard Toshio Hirano perform, you can't miss that. He's an American Bluegrass musician and singer. The Bay Area's Japanese yodeling cowboy! He's won SF Bay Guardian and SF Weekly "Best of" awards, and someone even made a short documentary about him. See the trailer below!

Also performing will be Bella Trixx and the Displayed Labors Sideshow. I don't think you'll find any other show where you can see the "hooks, piercings, and blood" of DLS and the stylings of Toshio Hirano. That's one of the wonderful and unique things about burlesque shows in the Bay Area!

Of course, keeping the reins on and spurring along the show will be Eddie's partner, Kingfish. It promises to be a wonderful evening, and you can get in for only $10! Of course, you'll want to bring more dough along in case you such items as "Eddie Dane Commemorative Eye Patches" may be available for purchase, or if you decide you simply want to donate more money to the cause.

Séduction Féroce this Tuesday, November 9, at Oakland's Era Art Bar and Lounge

Honey Lawless, Vivi Ennui, and Ruby Vixen will be among those performing this Tuesday at the monthly Séduction Féroce show at Era Art Bar and Lounge in Oakland, 19 Grand Avenue.

And it looks like Chi Kitty and Courtney Crimson and the Displayed Labors Sideshow have been added to the lineup, also! If you haven't see DLS perform, be forewarned that some of their acts may not be for the squeamish. Though they're always amazing to watch! See the full lineup below.

Alotta Boutté to light up Monday's Hubba Hubba Revue show at Oakland's Uptown Club

The effervescent and luminous Alotta Boutté will be performing this Monday night, September 13, at the Uptown Club's weekly Hubba Hubba Revue show in Oakland.

This multi-talented performer sings, dances, and just flat out sizzles. She's performed with Harlem Shake Burlesque, and she's performed solo in various burlesque shows and festivals across the country, including Tease-O-Rama, Miss Exotic World, New York's Starshine Burlesque, Margaret Cho's "The Sensuous Woman," and Chicago's Gurlesque Burlesque, as well as many of the shows locally. In addition, she also performs in the world's longest running musical revue, Beach Blanket Babylon.

Also performing Monday will be a plethora of talent including New Orleans' Dottie von Polka, Lizzie D. Vine, Bunny von Tail, and more! With comedy from Kevin Hancock!
