Born & raised in Sebastopol, CA... small wine country town outside of SF, he started a weekly thursday side show called JUKE JOINT 2007 without knowing that it would become a cornerstone in the North Bay Area dance community.

The last 4 years has seen the likes of MARK FARINA, ADAM FREELAND, KRAFTY KUTS, STANTON WARRIORS, BALKAN BEAT BOX, BEATS ANTIQUE, ASKILLZ, DJ VADIM and many a others... weaving top shelf cabarets & burlesque soirées along the way.

Cabaret de Caliente heats up the North Bay tonight, Thursday, January 19

There's a new show in Sebastopol, and its name is Cabaret de Caliente! It's presented by jUkE jOiNt, and it'll happen tonight at the HopMonk Tavern.

Cabaret de Caliente is a monthly dance and circus arts variety show. This month's show will showcase Ciel Ravenspell, Eva d'Luscious of Verses of Seduction, Violet Streak, and others! DJ Malarkey will provide music for the dance party, and you can always get something to drink or eat at the HopMonk.

If you're a performer and would like to perform on the HopMonk stage at a future show, there are instructions below on how to contact Cabaret de Caliente.

Cabaret de Caliente welcomes a variety of performers, including circus arts (no ariels yet), Burlesque, side show, magicians, belly dance, musicians, and other strange and interesting acts that really float our boat.

Please note that fire performances are restricted to small fire tools such as wands, bowls and fire fingers. (Did we just say you actually can do fire, yes, we did!!!!)

Most performances are 4-6 minutes long; longer times or multiple acts in one show can be discussed. Compensation is share of the door and drinks in our Green Room.

Dangerous Curves Ahead: Tuesday in San Francisco, Thursday in Sebastopol

This is just a reminder that the Dangerous Curves Ahead: Burlesque on the Go-Go tour is coming to a town near you! I've posted information on tomorrow's show at the Uptown in Oakland, but here's the rest of the information about their tour of the area.

Who is Dangerous Curves Ahead? They are five of the best known, most popular, and award-winning members of New York's burlesque community who have gotten together and are touring the West Coast this spring. Clams Casino, Anita Cookie, GiGi La Femme, Darlinda Just Darlinda, and Minnie Tonka are hitting the road and bringing their signature acts to stages on the West Coast. Hooray! If you've been reading about current burlesque artists in America, you've surely heard of these burlesque firecrackers!

On Tuesday, April 5, they'll be performing at Club Deluxe in San Francisco, located at 1511 Haight Street (map). It's a show being produced by Douglas Good of Little Minsky's fame, and it's being hosted by Scotty the Blue Bunny! The doors will open at 8:00 p.m., and the show will start at 9:00. Tickets will be $10.00, and you'll need to be at least 21 years of age to attend. Get there early to find a good seat!
