A Witch's Brew: FEED fundraiser on Sunday, October 25, 2009

Filming for the Lux Killmore (www.luxkillmore.com) film FEED will start in about a month. So this will be the last fundraiser scheduled for the time being. And what a fundraiser it is!

It is A Witch's Brew 3! Lady Monster will be hosting on Sunday at the Stud in San Francisco. There will be a vintage car show, live music, vendors, and of course burlesque with Marie La Faux, Lily Le Rouge, Miss Honey Penny, Lady Monster, and Dottie Lux!

If you're interested in being an extra or on the crew for FEED, you can inquire at the event or email FEEDTheFilm@gmail.com. As of earlier in the week, they were still looking for some extras.

San Francisco area burlesque for the week of October 19, 2009

Looks like the Hubba Hubbas are gonna be extra busy this week! Not only do they have their weekly Monday show and their monthly big show on Friday (Oktoberfest!), but they've also got a Burlesque Rock Showcase on Saturday night at the Uptown in Oakland! I wonder if you'll see any of them out and about on Sunday morning. Ha ha!

Well, if they're out on Sunday, I'm sure they'll be at A Witch's Brew at the Stud in San Francisco. You've got a vintage car show. You got raffles. You got burlesque with Marie La Faux, Dottie Lux, and Lili Le Rouge. Lady Monster will be hosting. If there's a reason to be out of bed by 3pm, this is it! ;-)

And the week starts off with Flame Cynders at Dr. Sketchy's SF at 111 Minna Gallery. Even if you're not an artist, you'll be able to hang out at the bar for free and watch the artists (and Flame) at work!

• Monday, October 19: Dr. Sketchy's San Francisco at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco, 111 Minna Street. Flame Cynders will model and perform at Dr. Sketchy's this month. Drawing, contests, drinking, and fun times. 7 to 10pm. $10 general, $7 students and teachers w/ID. Free to hang out at the bar and observe. 21+ w/ID.


• Also Monday: Uptown Hubba Hubba at the Uptown in Oakland, 1928 Telegraph Avenue. It's Bombshell Betty's Burlesqueteer Night with Fromagique! Featuring Bombshell Betty, Red Velvet, Cherry Chapstick, GoGo Bananas, If-N-Whendy, Fina Fatale, Loreley, Rosy Areola, Brandi She's a Fine Girl, Matt Walker& Luz Gaxiola. • Friday, October 23: Red Hots Burlesque at El Rio in SF, 3158 Mission Street. Dottie Lux hosts this week's show, "No Costumes Please." Performances by Legend of Burlesque, Isis Starr. Queen of Debauchery, Ruby Vixen. The Femme of the First Friday Follies, Cupcake. School of Shimmy Graduate, Neely Sparkle. And more! Show at 7:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale, 21+ w/ID.


• Also Friday: Hubba Hubba Revue: Oktoberfest! at DNA Lounge in SF, 375 11th Street. Dust off that dirndl and lay out your lederhosen! 'cuz Hubba Hubba Revue is once again transforming DNA Lounge into the little alpine village of Pfattenhausen for this year's edition of everyone's favorite tassel-twirlin', hip-shakin', Burlesque Oktoberfest! Featuring international burlesque sensation Ava Garter from Los Angeles! • Sunday, October 25: A Witch's Brew at The Stud in SF, 399 9th Street. Vintage car show (Socket Wenches and Carthedral), live music, burlesque, and vendors! With burlesque performances by Marie La Faux, Dottie Lux, Lili Le Rouge and more! Music from T&A, Front Junk, and more! Hosted by Lady Monster. This is a fundrasier for Lux Killmore's Feed, the film. 5 to 10pm. $5-10 sliding scale. 21+ inside The Stud.

Beer Bust at Truck today, Saturday, October 10, 2009

There will be a rare day burlesque performance today at Truck (www.trucksf.com) in San Francisco, 900 Folsom Street. From 3 until 8pm, $10 will get you all the beer you can drink, plus performances, raffles, movies, and an art show. This is a fundraiser for Lux Killmore's Feed film (www.luxkillmore.com), so expect to see Red Hots Burlesque performers out and about!

Also on the flier above, you can see there's another event on Sunday, October 25 from 5 to 10pm at The Stud (www.studsf.com) called "A Witch's Brew." There will be live music, a vintage car show, and burlesque with Marie La Faux, Dottie Lux, Lady Monster, Lily Le Rouge, and others! It'll be $5-10, sliding scale, and thee will be raffles.
