There will be burlesque in the East Bay this weekend! Hooray!

This Saturday, September 18, join Original Sin Burlesque at Sanctuary Ultra Lounge in Livermore as they welcome special guests Hotcakes and Séduction Féroce's Sheba Queen of the Night! The show is only five bucks, and Livermore just doesn't get any hotter than on the third Saturday of every month!

Then on Sunday, Septmeber 19, it's time for Debauchery at the White Horse Bar in Oakland! This month's show will benefit... Debauchery! Help support the queer cabaret show that supports queer organizations, and have a great time too!

It's that time of the month again... Time to loosen up your tie, hike up your skirt, and get a little naughty with your favorite queer strippers!

This month the show benefits Debauchery itself, so that we can keep on putting the show (and benefit local queer orgs) month after month, with dazzling dancers, luscious lapdances, delicious cocktails, and rambunctious raffles to boot.

Benefit Burlesque Babes BBQ and Debauchery for Sunday, April 18

There's a couple of events this Sunday for all of you Bay Area burlesque fans out there. The first will be happening on Sunday afternoon. It's a Benefit BBQ for Bay Area Burlesque Babes at Thieves Tavern in San Francisco starting at noon.

Bunny Pistol will be serving beers, Bloody Marys, and your favorite thirst quenchers, sASSy Hotbuns will be barbecuing your favorite meats—including turkey and beef hot dogs—out back, and Miss Mae Western will be bringing her cocktail-inspired cupcakes. Burlesque performers will receive free cocktails! The proceeds will go towards helping some burlesque performers take their acts on the road. Here are the details.

What: Benefit BBQ for Bay Area Burlesque Babes

Where: Thieves Tavern, 496 14th Street (at Guerrero), San Francisco

When: Sunday, April 18, noon to 5pm

Why: To benefit burlesque performers who will be touring, eat delicious barbecued meats, socialize with burlesque people, drink your favorite beverages, listen to some good music, and just have some fun on a Sunday afternoon.

Who: It's a bar, so anyone 21 and older who'd like to help out some burlesque performers go on tour and those who'd like to eat barbecued hot dogs and drink some beverages.

How much: There's no cover specified, but I think you'll need to bring funds to donate/tip for food, drinks, raffle tickets, etc.

Later on Sunday, it'll be the monthly show Debauchery at the White Horse Inn in Oakland. This month, Alotta Boutté will be the guest host, and the show will be benefiting AIDS Ride. The doors open at 7pm and the show is at 8pm.

It's Debauchery time again! This month the show is benefitting AIDS RIDE - that incredible yearly event that many in our community participate in. The oh-so-talented Alotta Boutté is guest hosting this month's show, and there's a hot slate of performers to tease, titillate and tempt. $10 lapdances and specialty cocktails, too!

Fella-Fem fundraising drag king and burlesque show on Saturday, October 10, 2009

Fella-Fem (www.fellafem.com) let me know that they're having a fundraising drag king and burlesque show this Saturday at the White Horse Inn in Oakland. In addition to the show, there will be a date auction and raffle with lots of fabulous prizes.

They've been chosen to perform in the showcase at the International Drag King Extravaganza (www.idkexi.com) in Tucson, so it's wonderful that they'll be representing the Bay Area. The funds that they raise will go towards getting them to getting them there and back. Go Fella-Fem!
